Complete the protagonist’s Search for Memories with the help of these herb locations in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
One of the main objectives in Dynasty Warriors Origins is the Search for Memories. It is the objective for the primary quest, Shards of the Past. Players are required to work with Yuanhua, a doctor who will help the protagonist recover from his amnesia. But recovering these shards isn’t easy, and players are required to search for certain herbs first.
The doctor will give you access to the general locations of these herbs, but searching for them and fetching them is your job. This will start in the third chapter of the game. You will need to go out on this errand a total of five times. You will have to come back to Yuanhua each time to relive a particular memory from your past. We will now list all the herb locations below.
Dynasty Warriors Origins Search for Memories Locations
1. Billow Balm
This location will take you to the Yan Province. It is east of Puyang, and you will find the herb close to a river. Once you have possession of the item you require, return to Yuanhua to proceed with unlocking the first memory. This small errand will reward you with a Vitality Pill (consumable) and Peacebringer (battle art).
2. Moongrass
For this one, you will have to make your way to Wan Castle in Jing. Once you make your way around the mountains beside this castle, you will come across a river flowing by. The herb grows on the banks of this river. Players will receive a Stamina Pill (consumable) and the ability to farm Moongrass as rewards.
3. Aborgreen
You can grab Aborgreen once Chapter 4 starts. You can then head to Xiapi Castle. Cross the bridge and head to the clearing near the river. You won’t have to stray much further away from the fortress. This is where you can finally pick up the herb that you wanted. This small objective will reward you with the Incense of Vitality (consumable).

4. Crimson Cress
For this one, you would have to Fast Travel to the Waymark near Beihai in Qing Province. If you can’t teleport to this Waymark yet, just go there from the Overworld. Once you are at the Waymark, head slightly east from it, and you will find the herb. This will grant you another consumable called the Fired Mountain Tuber.
5. Thistle of Dawn
The final piece of the puzzle requires players to reach Qu’a in Yang Province. There is a lake here that you can enjoy. It is near this lake that you will also find your last herb, the Thistle of Dawn. This will grant you Ice Luan (special art) and Porridge (consumable) as rewards.
Once you reach the end of Chapter 4, you will get to visit the village of the Guardians of Peace. After a cutscene here, the mission will wrap up, and you will receive Musou Rage (ability) as your final reward.
