In this Dynasty Warriors Origins walkthrough guide, we shall go over the Suppression of You Province battle from Chapter 2.
Dynasty Warriors Origins throws you into several battles from the iconic Three Kingdoms saga, letting you duke it out with massive armies. The Suppression of You Province is one of the major battles you face early in Chapter 2. The battle sees you protecting allies while also pursuing two targets. Strategy is vital when taking on this battle because if any of your allies are forced to flee, you are defeated. Managing your safety alongside your allies while pursuing two different targets to defeat is very difficult and is likely to be your first major hurdle in the game.

Suppression of You Province Walkthrough
Victory and Defeat Conditions
The only way to win this battle is to defeat Zhang Chun and Qiuliju. Doing so meets the Victory Conditions of the battle, letting you proceed. However, while doing so, you must also protect Gongsun Zan and Liu Yu. If either is forced to flee, you are defeated and will have to retry.
Battle Preparation
Before you head to battle, it is important to arm yourself with the right tools. We recommend bringing along the Ascendance Gem, which grants you a 30% chance to automatically block enemy attacks. This is highly useful when overwhelmed by mobs in this battle. For your weapon, we recommend bringing in a sword, such as the Longsword, to make quick work of enemies and keep advancing.

Battle Walkthrough
Once the battle begins, stay in close proximity to Gongsun Zan and help him capture all the zones. Following Gongsun Zan will help you clear the whole mission easily. He will lead the charge and make way for Zhang Ju in the mountains. Simply follow along and clear the enemies along the way. As you follow along, Zan will lead you to the southern base, where you can defeat a General to unlock the Wheels weapon type.
As you terrorize your way through the camps, Zhang Chun will be drawn out of hiding. Defeat him to complete the first Victory condition. Once you’re done, Qiuliju is next. Follow along behind Gongsun Zan and capture more zones along the way. As you do so, the Central Unit will be flanked from the north, and your rear guard will be exposed.
You will have to turn around and defend the Central Unit. Stick to using Battle Arts to clear the large units. This will draw out Qiuliju as well, who will declare Zan to be his target and will rush at him. Intercept Qiuliju and defeat him to complete the battle and finish the Suppression of You Province.
