Patch 6 is no exception, bringing a fresh wave of content, improvements, and some quality-of-life features. Whether you’re a seasoned Flameborn or just stepping into the shrouded unknown, this update promises to shake things up. In this article, we break down everything we know so far about Enshrouded Patch 6, from gameplay tweaks and new items to potential hints at what’s still to come.
Enshrouded Patch 6 Release Date
The official release date of Patch 6 for Enshrouded has not been announced yet, but Keen Games promises that it will be released in May 2025. A more exact date will likely be announced closer to launch, likely sometime in the coming week or two.
Enshrouded is a survival action RPG developed by Keen Games, blending open-world exploration, base-building, and cooperative gameplay with a dark fantasy twist. Set in a post-apocalyptic world blanketed by a mysterious, toxic fog known as the Shroud, players take on the role of Flameborn. You become a resurrected survivor tasked with reclaiming the land, battling corrupted creatures, and uncovering ancient secrets.
Since its early access launch last year, Enshrouded has grown in popularity, recently surpassing 4 million players. This major milestone reflects its strong reception and active community. The game continues to expand through regular patches and community-driven updates, keeping players engaged with new features and content.
Enshrouded Patch 6 Content
Keen Games has released a teaser trailer for Enshrouded Update 6, which is officially titled Thralls of Twilight. The trailer doesn’t give much detail, but does give a couple of hints as to what players can expect.
The Shroud will clearly be playing a central role in Update 6, with the “Rebirth of the Shroud” and multiple Fell enemies shown in the trailer. Smaller enemies are numerous, but moreover, some large enemies will likely pose major threats.
Furthermore, Keen Games posted additional information on their Twitter/X account a short video that gives you the names of a couple of those boss enemies. First is the Shroud Depthdewller, which is a huge, jellyfish-like creature that appears to float in the air of the Shroud. Additionally, it appears able to shoot smaller jellyfish as projectiles, which you will need to guard yourself from. Fighting this creature will likely require ranged weapons or spells, as trying to hit the tendrils with a melee weapon will be difficult.
Secondly, you see the Fell Critter Queen, which is a massive, bulbous, insect-like monster. She has mandibles and sharp claws that will make her difficult to approach. She appears to also spawn minions that can attack and explode in your face. A melee build with a strong shield for protection will likely be the best way to take her on.
Finally, the teaser trailer suggests that you will be able to “Unleash Unstoppable Power” in Update 6. What this means exactly is unknown, but perhaps it introduces a way for players to push back the Shroud and reclaim shrouded areas. This power would be incredibly impactful to the game, and allow you to go back and restore shroud areas in previous zones to their natural state.
