Firesong DLC Game Pack

New Zone: Galen
Prepare to embark on a new adventure! In this update, you can travel to the northern most island of the Systres Archipelago – Galen – and uncover the secrets of the Druids and their connections to the Breton legacy!

  • To begin your voyage on the PTS, you can choose from among the following:
    • Use the “Firesong (Maximum Level) or Firesong (Level 25) template for a new character right on the island of Galen.
    • Bring an existing character to the zone when your realm’s character copy is in effect. You can enter the zone in one of the following ways:
      • Using the Wayshrine in the city of Vastyr Outskirts
      • Use the boat located in Daggerfall or Gonfalon Bay in High Isle
      • Traveling to a friend who is already in Galen
    • Once you have arrived in the island of Galen, seek Dhulef of the Mages Guild to get the first quest of the Main Story.
  • Firesong includes an exciting zone story, 2 new Delves, 2 powerful World Bosses, Volcanic Vent world events, and a wandering World Boss to test your skills.
  • Obtain new Item Sets found only in Firesong, as described below, and new Outfit and Housing rewards for completing select achievements and quest content throughout the zone.
  • Complete the zone stories in both High Isle and Firesong to unlock the year-ending questline and learn the truth behind the Ascendent Lord!

        Developer Comment:
      • The Block Mitigation and Health Recovery only affects allies and not the set wearer. Use Shield Wall with this ability at your own risk as you won’t be able to move for the duration of the Ultimate.

The Druid King Patron rewards you for playing the right types of cards at the right time, and the order by which you play your cards is vital to ensure you get the best possible result.

Update 36 Base Game

Target Marker System
We’ve added a new UI system that allows you to mark allies, enemies, and even yourself with a unique icon. Target marking can be used across all types of content including dungeons, Trials, PvP, and in the overland, and can also be used while in a group or solo.

  • By default, this feature is bound to the Tab key or the right D-pad on Gamepad. Simply hover over an entity and press Tab (or the right D-pad if on Gamepad). You can then select any icon in the wheel to apply the mark.
  • A mark may be removed by targeting an entity with a mark and selecting the same mark currently present on that entity.
  • Marks may be self-applied by bringing up the target marker wheel without a target selected, then selecting an icon.

Hiding Pets in Towns
A new feature is available in your settings to allow you to hide other players’ pets (hereafter shorthand to mean summoned class ability pets like Winged Twilights and Warden bears, vanity pets, assistants, and Companions) around certain high-traffic objects in the game. Specifically, this includes daily crafting writ bestowal boards, daily crafting writ turn-in crates, and basic crafting stations.

  • Your own pets will not be hidden if this option is turned on, and if a player whose pets are hidden gets into a duel or combat while near the affected objects, the pets will reappear.
  • The setting can be found within the Gameplay menu, then toggling “Limit Followers in Towns.” Again, this is an optional feature you can turn on or off at your discretion!

Housing Quality of Life Improvements
We’ve added several improvements to the general housing system overall, including the following:

  • A feature where a guest decorator can access the Retrieval tab of the Browse menu, which includes Modify, Set Destination, and Precision Edit access.
  • A display in the upper righthand corner, under the currently tracked quest, identifying which house you are currently in. This information will display the name of the house, as well as the account name for the owner of the house.
  • You can now share links to any of your homes via Chat or the Guild Message of the Day!
    • Links to your homes can be created from the Collections menu or from the House Information panel shown while in any house’s Browse/Inspection mode.
  • We added the ability for you to cycle through targets using the Tab key in the Housing Editor’s selection mode. This will make selecting books in bookcases, fish in aquariums or cobbled items easier.
  • Decorators, Visitors and Limited Visitors will now be able to view the list of furnishings placed in a house. Decorators will be able to modify, precision edit and place map markers on any furnishing or path node in the list of furnishings placed in a house, including furnishings that are behind a wall, in a box or with a fox!
  • You now have the ability to set furnishings that hang on walls to align better with the wall.
    • Several hundred furnishings were adjusted to use this new tech across a large range of furniture categories, most notably Art, Banners, Mounted Décor, Paintings, Sconces, and Shelves, to name a few.
  • Furniture item tooltips will now include the furniture Subcategory under the Category on the top left of a furnishing’s tooltip.
  • Slowed the speed at which the furnishing preview camera moved when flipping between furnishings.
    • Previously, the camera pitched between heights of different furnishings as you switched between them very quickly, which could get jarring.

Emperor Scaling in Cyrodiil
The Health bonus for having an Emperor crowned for your Alliance will now scale depending on how many “home” or “natively owned” Keeps you have controlled by your alliance. For example, if you own all 6 of your home Keeps you’ll get the full bonus as Emperor, but for each of those you don’t own, the health bonus is reduced.

The Emperor Passives also now scale in a similar way to the Alliance wide health bonus. For each of the 6 home Keeps your Alliance owns, the bonus will be up to its full value. For each one that is not owned by your Alliance, the passive benefits are reduced.

Please note some scaling values may not currently display properly and will be fixed in an upcoming PTS patch.

Armory Stations in PvP
Armory Stations have been added to portal Keep locations for each alliance in Cyrodiil and in each sewer entry in Imperial Sewers.

Customized Actions
Customized Actions are a new kind of cosmetic collectible that replace the animations and effects that play when your character performs specific actions. This includes things like changing the color of the constellation you summon while recalling to summoning a magical creature to gather plants for you.

  • There are 3 Customized Actions for you to test during this PTS cycle, which we are currently planning to release sometime after Update 36 launches on all platforms. These include:
    • Recall of the Galen Winds (recalling to a Wayshrine)
    • Stonelore Split (chopping wood)
    • Gyrfalcon Gather (gathering plants)
  • To use a Customized Action, navigate to the Collections menu and choose Customized Actions. Choose the category you would like to use and select it to make it active. Then, simply perform that action as you normally would and the selected Customized Action will play instead of the default action.
    • You can only activate one Customized Action per category at a time.
    • If you want to return to the default action, return to the Customized Action category and select it again to deactivate it.

Daily Login Reward Timer Change
In this update, your new daily login rewards will start being available at 3am UTC for European servers and 10am UTC for North American servers, rather than at midnight UTC regardless of region.

Event Testing – Dark Heart of Skyrim Celebration
Return to Skyrim and the Reach during the Dark Heart of Skyrim Celebration! This event encompasses the entire year’s worth of content for the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, including both the Greymoor Chapter and DLC zones, as well as all four dungeons released as part of the year (Icereach, Unhallowed Grave, Castle Thorn, and Stone Garden).

  • Pick up the introductory quest, “Bloody Reunion,” from one of the following:
    • Available for free in the Crown Store
    • From a note at any Impresario tent
    • Directly from the quest bestower, Mel Adrys, near Karthwatch
      • The semi-famous vampire hunter will embark on a journey with you to track down an old enemy.

    • These boxes can contain saleable treasures, style items or motif pages from the year-of storyline, Skyrim-specific crafting materials (such as Chaurus Eggs, Vile Coagulant, or Crimson Nirnroot), treasure maps, furnishing recipes, or a tradeable style page for the new Saarthal Scholar armor style!
  • The first daily you complete in Western Skyrim will award you one Event Ticket. You can get a second Event Ticket for the first daily you complete in the Reach as well, for a maximum of two Event Tickets per day per account.
    • These include dailies such as the Wayward Guardian quests and Harrowstorm-hunting quests.
  • Bosses in Western Skyrim or the Reach, as well as the bosses in Kyne’s Aegis, Vateshran Hollows, Icereach, Unhallowed Grave, Castle Thorn, and Stone Garden will drop additional loot during this event. Resource nodes, daily quests, and activities abound in the zone are all more lucrative during the celebration, so get out there and slay some vampires!
  • The Impresario will carry bound style pages of the Saarthal Scholar armor style for 5 tickets each. Furthermore, she will have all three fragments of the Soulfire Dragon Illusion and two of three fragments for the Sacred Hourglass of Alkosh.

KnownIssues

Furnishings

  • All furnishings are currently missing their highlight when first choosing to place them in a home. As a temporary workaround, picking the item up again in the editor will display the proper highlight.

Templates

  • Creating a character using the level 25 template will set the Champion Points on all characters (regardless if they are copied or templates) on your PTS account to zero. Creating another character using the max level template will set your Champion Points to 3600, but you will need to redistribute your points again. This issue will be fixed in a future PTS patch and only affects characters on the PTS.

  • Partners in Crime: Fixed an issue where the physics and animation states of the cell door beneath Fulstrom Hold led to weird skipping animations and inconsistent tangibility.

General

  • Fixed an issue where some ticking Area of Effect abilities could delay or miss their first tick, or could apply their effects out of sync with their tick rates.
  • Fixed an issue where re-zoning could cause your character to load a different ability bar in some rare cases.
  • Fixed an issue where Break Free’s animation could fail to play in situations when your character would be stunned mid-animation with effects such as Time Stop.
  • Death recaps will no longer taunt you with the concept of bringing a friend or using the grouping tool for solo arenas such as Maelstrom Arena.

Dragonknight

  • Ardent Flame
    • Shifting Standard: Fixed an issue that would cause the Ability Bar Timer to reset after recasting the ability to move it.

Templar

  • Dawn’s Wrath
    • Backlash: This ability and its morphs have been slightly reworked.
      • The final damage now deals a guaranteed amount of damage based on your highest offensive stats, rather than dealing damage based on the damage it took from you over the duration and with a cap based on your Weapon or Spell Damage.
      • The final damage deals approximately 10% more damage than the initial hit at base and increases up to an additional 200% to reach similar values of power seen before.
      • The final damage now takes more overall damage to reach, to make the payout less reliably reached in PvP scenarios.
      • These abilities are now once again limited to having one active at a time, to fix numerous exploits and bugs with the ability. This means if you cast the ability on another target while it is active, it will remove the previous cast.
        • Power of the Light (morph): Increased the duration of Minor Breach from this morph to 7-10 seconds, up from 6-9. This effect is also no longer tracked over the base ability with the Ability Timers option enabled, to help you keep track of the core ability instead.

Warden

  • Animal Companions
    • Advanced Species: This passive now increases your Critical Damage done by 1/3%, rather than your Armor Penetration by 495/990.
      Developer Comment:
      • We’re shifting this passive’s focus away from raw damage and more into Critical damage, to help focus the class’s natural tendency to burst foes down. This change should also help bring up Light Armor focused Wardens, while toning down some of the power that their currently much stronger Medium Armor cousins have.
      • Feral Guardian: Fixed an issue where the bear from this Ultimate and its morphs could get stuck in a loop of trying to cast Crushing Swipe repeatedly until it perished or was crowd controlled. It was just trying to make you proud.
    • Green Balance
      • Healing Seed
        • Budding Seeds (morph): Fixed an issue where the final heal from this ability was centered on the caster, rather than the Area of Effect.
    • Winter’s Embrace
      • Arctic Wind
        • Arctic Blast (morph): Removed the target cap from the damage of this morph, as the damage is no longer tied to stunning enemies.
      • Piercing Cold: This passive now increases your damage done by 1/2% which increases to 5/10% while wielding an Ice Staff, rather than increasing your Magic and Frost Damage by 5/10%.
        Developer Comment:
        • This passive is currently creating issues with morph choices in the class, as Wardens have a healthy mix of damage types outside of Magic and Frost. Many morphs that are meant to focus on damage are either close to or even eclipsed by the more utility driven morphs that retain Magic Damage, and the lack of more DPS focused Ice Damage abilities (since they are predominantly made for tanks or utility) create a situation where this passive isn’t helping the unique identity of Ice Mages keep up with other play styles. By shifting the focus of the passive over to generic damage that contextually gets stronger for the audience the passive is made for, we hope to help bring that playstyle up a bit more.

      Weapon

      • Bow
        • Volley: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs only used your Weapon Critical, rather than dynamically scaling with whatever was higher.

      Alliance War

      • Assault
        • Vigor
          • Resolving Vigor (morph): Reduced the healing from this morph by approximately 10%.

      Racial

      • Khajiit
        • Robustness: This passive now increases your Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery by 90 at their final rank, rather than your Health Recovery by up to 100 and your Magicka and Stamina Recovery by up to 85.

      dslrleshft94.png
      Warfare

      • Occult Overload:
        • Reduced the damage per stage of this star to 1037, down from 2560.
        • This node now also applies a random status effect to enemies hit.
        • Added a cooldown of 1 second, to prevent cascading effects.
        • The damage no longer has a maximum target cap of 6.

        Developer Comment:

        • We’re toning down some of the burst damage of this effect, as well as its prevalence to operate like Vicious Death where it can cause cascading booms when you kill a large number of targets at the same time. The star doesn’t have enough drawbacks to justify the ease of access to instantly kill large groups of enemies, as well as being a bit overboard when used in tandem with other effects. To make up for this, though, we’re adding some more self-synergy to the effect where it will reward more booms back-to-back if you can manage to kill the affected targets within the time frame of the status applied, so it feels more controlled in risk reward situations rather than random.
