Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth allows for a lot of open-world exploration as soon as you enter a new region through the main story. However, there are some exceptions to this freedom of exploration. Certain areas in the title are not accessible until players complete a particular objective or side mission.

One of these areas is the Crow’s Nest in the Junon region, which is locked before completing a side quest. Let’s take a look at how to enter the Crow’s Nest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Where Is The Crow’s Nest Located?

The Crow’s Nest is a small town located Southeast of Junon. Entering the Crow’s Nest requires you to fulfill its entry requirements. Before completing these requirements, you won’t be allowed to enter the area.

Instead, you will be turned away by a guard at the entrance to the Crow’s Nest. To gain access to the Crow’s Nest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will need to complete the ‘When Words Won’t Do’ side quest. This mission can be accessed by interacting with the Under Junon community notice board. However, one must remember that it can only be done after they have met Yuffie in the main story.

How To Complete the When Words Won’t Do Side Quest

This quest only becomes unlocked after you defeat the Terror of the Deep boss in Under Junon.

This quest involves escorting the client, Rhonda’s dog, to the Crow’s Nest to deliver money to her son, who left to start his own life. Along the way, you will have to defend the dog, Salmon, from whatever monsters may threaten him.

While there are several of them in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the monsters you encounter in this area are, in order:

  • 2 Fleetwings (weak to Wind)
  • 1 Zemzelett (weak to Ice) and 2 Capparwires (weak to Ice)
  • 2 Zemzeletts (weak to Ice)
  • 3 Capparwires (weak to Ice)
  • 2 Sandstorm Drakes (weak to Wind)

With the exception of the Sandstorm Drakes at the end, none of the encounters are particularly difficult to fight. The Drakes can also be made easier by exploiting their weakness to wind. As a result, completing this quest is relatively easy, if a little tiresome.

To make this fight even easier, just make sure to have one Party Member on your team who can use Ice attacks, as all the enemies you encounter during this quest are either weak to Ice, or weak to Wind. Thus, this will give you an advantage and help you finish the fight easily.

After you arrive at the Crow’s Nest, you will be invited inside, and from here on, you will be free to enter and exit the Crow’s Nest as you please.

How To Get Into The Crow’s Nest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The Crow’s Nest is the location of one of the Divine Sanctuaries of Phoenix, which allows you to strengthen the Phoenix Summon Materia. You can also find some Queen’s Blood players in this small town. This place also contains the ‘On Our Way’ piano music sheet for you to collect.

The Crow’s Nest is also where some of Chadley’s World Intel objectives are found. Finally, there are also a few new side quests in the Crow’s Nest. Completing these can be a quick way to earn both EXP and Gil, as well as any additional rewards they would grant.

That was everything you need to know about entering Crow’s Nest and finishing the side quest ‘When Words Won’t Do.’ What side quests gave you trouble?
