How To Get Doomsday Mutation in Fisch
The Doomsday Mutation is exclusive to the Ashfall event in Fisch. It applies to certain fish, making them sell for four times their normal price. To get this mutation, you must fish in lava formed by the Roslit Volcano eruption. This lava flows into Roslit Bay, creating the only location where Doomsday Mutated fish can be caught.
Where to Find Doomsday Mutation
Head to Roslit Bay, east of the map. If you have a GPS, navigate to X:-1450 Y:135 Z:750. The lava-filled waters in this area are your fishing spot. Unlike fishing inside the Roslit Volcano, you don’t need a special rod here. Any fishing rod will work.
The only exception is the Coelacanth. This fish can mutate anywhere in the ocean, so you don’t need to fish in lava to catch it with the Doomsday Mutation.
Best Strategies for Catching Doomsday Mutated Fish
Getting a Doomsday Mutation is random. There’s only a 10% chance that a fish will have it. To improve your odds, use the right gear and boosts:
- Equip the Aurora Totem to increase your chances of catching mutated fish.
- Use Merlin’s VI, which gives an extra luck boost for rare catches.
- Choose rods that speed up fishing. The No-Life Rod with Hasty Enchant and Tempest Rod with Steady Enchant are the best options.
- Keep fishing. The mutation is rare, so catching multiple fish increases your chances.

Best Fish to Catch and Sell
Doomsday Mutated fish sell for four times their base price, making them some of the most valuable catches in the game. The best fish to target include:
- Ashcloud Archerfish – Normally sells for 23,500 cash, but with the mutation, it sells for 94,000.
- Infernal Eel – Base price is 12,000, but a mutated version sells for 48,000.
- Molten Pufferfish – Usually worth 8,750, but goes for 35,000 when mutated.
If you want to maximize profits, prioritize catching Ashcloud Archerfish. It has the highest resale value with the mutation.
Event Timeframe
The Doomsday Mutation is only available during the Ashfall event, which runs from February 15 to February 22. After that, the mutation will disappear, and the special lava fishing location in Roslit Bay will likely be removed.
