Foggy weather attracts creatures like the Colossal Squid, Northstar Serpent, and the Legendary Alligator. To claim this powerful totem, you’ll journey northeast of Moosewood to the eerie Mushgrove Swamp. Tucked away near clusters of red mushrooms overlooking the sea, it’s waiting quietly for eager players. For just 2,000C$, this magical item can be yours.
Where To Find the Smokescreen Totem in Fisch
The Smokescreen Totem is located in Mushgrove Swamp, northeast of Moosewood. To get there, first, dock your boat near the Shipwright NPC. From the dock, head inland toward Agaric, a mushroom-like NPC leaning against a tall redcap mushroom.
Behind him, you’ll find Alligator Marsh, a small lake with a boat floating in the middle. Walk to the southeast corner of the marsh. Look for a group of red mushrooms. Jump behind them onto the rocks, then follow the path downward. At the cliff’s edge overlooking the sea, you’ll see the Smokescreen Totem resting on the rock.
The totem costs 2,000C$. If you don’t have enough, sell fish, especially ones with mutations, or redeem your daily reward for extra cash.
How To Use the Smokescreen Totem
Using the Smokescreen Totem forces the entire server into foggy weather. This effect is useful for catching rare and legendary fish that only appear in foggy conditions.
In Mushgrove Swamp, the Alligator spawns more frequently during foggy weather. However, it also requires Fish Head Bait, the spring season, and nighttime for optimal chances. If you’re fishing in other areas, different rare fish will appear under foggy conditions.
Be mindful before using the totem. The fog lasts for a while and affects all players on the server. Some players might not want fog at that moment, so consider using it when it benefits your fishing goals.
