Post the next cutscene, you will get to choose your starter car. Once done, the map pops up, giving you the location for your first showcase race. While free-roam is not officially available, you won’t be able to progress until the showcase race is done. So finish the showcase and a series of other mini-events, and you will finally be free to make your own choices. These introduction races are important to help you understand the mechanics of each race.
Understanding The Map
The Forza Horizon 5 map is undoubtedly much bigger than its predecessor. It is filled with a variety of biomes, including volcanoes, jungles, beaches, and towns, giving you many more areas to explore and test your skills around. Scrolling through the map will indicate exactly which biome you are entering. Each biome has its own specialties, some suited for racing while some are chill spots for you to just cruise. You can explore the wide and diverse map according to your desires.

Credits
These are a crucial currency system in the game. These are used to buy everything purchasable in the game as well as to customise and tune your vehicles. These can be earned by various means, including completing races, selling owned vehicles, even challenges, accolades and much more. You can also use credits to purchase houses as well as enter certain events.
XP
These are essential for earning points to further progress your level in the game. Experience points can be collected by completing races, stunts and various other activities through the game. The more XP you collect, the more your driver level increases, and the more content unlocks, including festival events, car upgrades and story missions.
