Political Twitch streamer HasanAbi or Hasan Piker has been the center of controversies several times in 2024.
Hasan Piker, famously known as HasanAbi, is a political streamer known for his controversial opinions. Mostly, he talks about the latest trends relating to politics going on in the community.
In the year 2024, he found himself embroiled in numerous controversies, and here are some of them.
1) HasanAbi’s Controversial Job Statement
HasanAbi has always been very outspoken and never feared saying what he wanted to. Back in February 2024, during a livestream, he said that livestreaming “sucks the soul out of” him. However, the real controversy took place when he compared it to a “real job.” He said:
“Yes, a real job can be gruesome. A real job can make you very tired. But the real job doesn’t suck the soul out of you. You know what I mean? In the same way that nine hours of streaming absolutely will.”
Moreover, a lot of people simply disagreed with HasanAbi’s statement, including streamers like Pokimane and SomeOrdinaryGamers. Additionally, Mutahar said that streaming is one of the most privileged jobs.
2) Hasan Called Out Adin Ross
Adin Ross is one of the most followed Kick streamers. Back in May 2024, he got into a debate with Felix Lengyel, or xQc, regarding the promotion of queer-related content to children. He stated:
“I only care about kids, bro. Leave the kids… hold on, he left. I only care about leaving the kids out of this, bro.”
However, HasanAbi went on to react to his statement, saying that the one who is worse for children is Adin Ross. Hasan said:
“He has cultivated one of the most toxic, mass harassing, and doxing communities online, with like, the absolutely worst politics ever. Adin Ross literally is worse, like, physically, spiritually, psychologically so much worse for the children. You know what is happening, though? Adin Ross is converting them to be little freaks! Okay? Little soci*paths!”
3) xQc Calls HasanAbi’s Takes Fundamentally Radicalized
Although Felix Lengyel has been friends with Hasan, over the past few months, they have had their differences. Moreover, xQc criticized Hasan over his supposed defense of Frogan’s statement. The streamer said:
“I don’t ask Hasan a lot of sh*t, brother, recently Hasan’s takes have been fu*king radicalized, brother. Dude…this comes from the bottom of my heart. Okay? Dude, I don’t mind Hasan. I hope you guys understand that. But recently, like, his takes are, like, fundamentally radicalized.”
However, Hasan reacted to it and said,
“If you consider my current takes to be radical then you have never listen to my takes at all or have understood it.”
4) Hasan’s Official Subreddit Banned
Hasan’s subreddit named r/Hasanpiker was banned back in November 2024. The banned page read:
“This community has been banned. This subreddit was banned due to a violation of Reddit’s content policy against harassing content.”
However, the page was not HasanAbi’s official Reddit. It was a community built to target HasanAbi, but this ban happened after Hasan was accused of antisemitic sentiment during his livestreams.
5) HasanAbi Blamed Asmongold for FaZe Kaysan Getting Demonetised
Hasan blamed Asmongold after FaZe Kayzan’s Twitch channel was demonetized. Initially, when Kayzan did not receive any money for running advertisements, he raised the issue with the Twitch team. Then he got to know that the reason for demonetization was to use the “Iran” tag.
Later, sharing his thoughts on the matter, HasanAbi said,
“So, what are they doing? They’ve just added every official America’s enemy list on to the fu*king same category? Like, what the f**k? What an incredible f**king…what an incredibly st*pid thing to do! Oh, yeah, they’re going to start doing this to China, too. F**k it, add Haiti on it, too. I just want you to understand, by the way, when Asmongold is making threats like this, this is the result. Okay?”
