Lacy, whose real name is Nick Fosco, was born on February 18, 2003, in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is 21 years old as of this writing. Growing up, Nick wanted to get into professional basketball. Fosco wasn’t allowed to play video games until the age of 17.

Fosco started playing Fortnite during his high school days. Despite not playing many games growing up, he instantly became better at the game. This led to him asking his parents for a gaming PC. After getting a PC, Nick wanted to share his gameplay with his friends and others.

On February 22, 2020, Lacy started streaming to his Twitch channel and averaged around 3-4 viewers per stream. Even with his low viewer count, Lacy continued streaming. Nick’s popularity rose after he started trolling popular streamers in Fortnite.

After graduating high school, he worked at jobs and studied for college. During these days, Nick started trolling Clix, a popular Fortnite player and streamer. Fosco donated around $1,000 to Clix to make jokes on Clix’s channel, after which Clix called him live on stream. The clip of this conversation went viral on TikTok and YouTube, giving Fosco his breakthrough.

Rise of Lacy

After the clips of Clix and Lacy’s conversation went viral on TikTok, viewers wanted to know more about Lacy. Nick’s average view count went from 3-4 viewers to 80 viewers. After this Fosco started to post clips of his gameplay with Clix to TikTok and they quickly went viral. But there was a problem, as soon as Clix went live, Fosco’s viewership dropped.

However, Nick found a way around it by going live around the morning up until Clix went live later in the afternoon. As Lacy himself mentioned on a podcast with FaZe Swagg:

“I planned my streams to go live early in the morning at like 9-10 am and then stream till 3:45 right when Clix went live.”

This change of strategy was successful as Fosco went from an average of 80-100 viewers to a whopping 500 viewers. There are very few Fortnite players who stream in the morning which worked as an advantage for him.

Lacy dropped out of college after gaining a significant following and transitioned to full-time streaming. Since starting streaming in 2020, he has gained over 1 million followers on Twitch.

After his partnership with FaZe, Lacy has collaborated with high-profile streamers and celebrities. These included streams and content creation with prominent FaZe members like FaZe Banks, FaZe Rug, FaZe Adapt, and FaZe Swagg, participating in group challenges, and competitive events.

As a key member of FaZe Clan, Lacy’s future looks brighter than ever, and fans can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to the content scene next.
