The reputation system in Stalker 2 determines how factions view you in-game and can turn them into either allies or enemies.
The lands of Stalker 2’s Zone are filled with grotesque otherworldly creatures stalking for prey. The lands are hostile all the way through, and survival is a privilege. With the monsters adding enough to your plate already, you also have to keep tabs on the various factions that have a stake in these lands. They all have their goals, motives, and morals and want something out of the Zone itself. As you explore the wasteland, you have to walk a fine line, interacting with all the factions in the game. This is where Stalker 2’s reputation system comes into play.
In this guide, we shall go over the reputation system in Stalker 2, how it works, and the consequences of your reputation.
Factions and the Reputation System
Stalker 2’s reputation system is tied to the game’s several factions and determines how these factions view you. Your reputation naturally affects your interactions with these factions and their bases. Having a good reputation with a faction makes them see you as an ally and opens up their base as a safe house.
Have a bad reputation with a faction, however, and you will find yourself walking on thin ice. The faction will be hostile towards you and attack you on sight. Their bases will also be locked off to you, and the members will attack you if caught approaching.
Your reputation with a faction will also affect trading and the prices. Maintain and improve your reputation with a faction, and you will be able to buy goods at a lower price.

How To Increase Reputation?
The easiest way to improve or increase your reputation with a faction in Stalker 2 is to take on and complete the faction quests. Each faction has a set of missions tied to them. Complete these missions, and you will find yourself on their good side. Be careful, however, as you can also fail these missions. Failing these missions will decrease your reputation and could turn the faction hostile.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” holds true in the case of factions as well. Kill members of rival factions to increase your reputation with a faction. Take note, however, that this will decrease your reputation with the faction whose members you kill. So, pick your side wisely.
