Death Domain is a subskill in Baldur’s Gate 3, allowing you to use necrotic attacks. Likewise, its feature, Touch of Death, enables you to utilize your Channel Divinity to deliver extra Necrotic damage when you hit a creature with a melee attack.

Additionally, the damage imparted by Touch of Death increases with your level progression, meaning, in addition to the base damage of five, you can deal extra damage equal to twice your Cleric Level. For example, if you are a Cleric of Level 12, Touch of Death will impart a cumulative 29 damage (5 base damage and 24 from your Cleric level).

After reaching Level 2 of the Death Domain subclass, you will obtain the Divinity Charge feature of Touch of Death. Touch of death is very beneficial in intense combat since it replenishes quickly after rest. Additionally, it does not use your valuable spell slots.

Using Touch of Death will cost you one Channel Divinity charge. Also, you can use Touch of Death many times in a single combat till you have Channel Divinity charges left. However, it is crucial to note that Touch of Death is a follow-up move, not a reaction.

Now that you understand how Touch of Death works in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can use its power efficiently to enhance your gameplay.
