Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, despite its linear main story, is far from your average linear action-adventure game. Structurally, MachineGames’ latest title is much more akin to games like Uncharted: Lost Legacy or even God of War Ragnarok. MachineGames did try branching away from their linear game design with Wolfenstein Youngblood, albeit with mixed results.

However, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the studio has finally perfected the semi-open-world structure that they were trying to achieve with Wolfenstein. With the game’s non-linear structure, comes a rather lengthy completion time, even for an average playthrough.

Here’s everything you need to know about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s completion time, main story length, side quests, and more.

Note: This article contains minor spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s main story ending.

For a normal playthrough of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, i.e., going through the main story with a good mix of side content will take you roughly 16-20 hours. This falls perfectly in line with MachineGames’ previous titles, Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. However, if you want to simply focus on the main story (which is a perfectly viable way to play the game), you can get through it in roughly 12-15 hours.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle doesn’t have a particularly lengthy main campaign. However, the game highly encourages exploring and going off the beaten path to hunt for collectibles and secrets.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s main story is divided into multiple chapters. Each of these chapters offers an entirely new map and locale for players to explore. The opening chapters see Indy explore Marshall College and the Vatican. Whereas, by the end of the story, the titular hero will have made his way to places like Shanghai and Iraq. Each of these new maps is essentially a sandbox, akin to the Hitman games.

If you plan to get 100% completion of the game and grab all the achievements for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it’s going to take you roughly 35-50 hours. The completionist playthrough’s time is highly dependent on the chosen difficulty preset, and how you go through the main story itself. Thankfully, for a completionist playthrough, you won’t have to go through the main story multiple times. All the achievements in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle can be unlocked in a single playthrough.
