Enshrouded lets you add survivor NPCs to your base in Enshrouded to liven up your place. Let us teach you how to do it.
If you add survivors to your base when playing Enshrouded, the world would appear less lonely. Despite the survival aspect of the game, the developers have added some relief in the form of NPCs that you can interact with and that will prove useful to you regularly.
There are three main types of NPCs that you can add to your base for several purposes. One of the reasons to walk the extra mile to rescue them is that they offer workshops and items that will help you become the strongest Flameborn in Embervale.
These NPCs are called ‘survivors’, and the game offers three main types of survivors. One type is the craftspeople. They can craft different items for you based on their specialty. These NPCs can also build workshops for you to manage your base more efficiently.
Once you have collected all 7 of them, they will send you on quests to fetch their assistants. There are a total of 5 assistants across Embervale. They are similar to the craftspeople; crafting items and creating workshops for you.
Lastly, there are selective villagers that you can bring to your base. Unfortunately, they don’t craft items directly but can offer quests for lucrative rewards that you may fall for.
There is one way that you can add each of these survivors to your base. Make sure to follow the steps uniformly.
Simple Steps to Add Survivors to Your Base
As we said, you must add NPCs to your base by following a specific order. First, unlock all craftspeople, assistants, and villagers. Make sure to stick to this route to avoid any complications.
Whenever you encounter a ‘survivor’, it won’t be just in any random location. In fact, there are specific areas where the craftspeople, assistants, and villagers are resting in the virtual world of Enshrouded. After you follow our NPC-specific guide to locate them, enter the area where they are and interact with them.
For example, when you find a craftsperson, the interaction button can show the prompt ‘Awaken Survivor’. When you press the prompt button, it will send the person in your inventory. Later, when at your base, you can use your Summoning Staff to place the said NPC in the designated building you have planned for them to live in.
This process works for each survivor that you come across in the game. You first locate them, interact with them using the given prompt, and finally place them in their buildings in your base.
