Fire Poltergeists (also known as Pyrogeists or Burners) are a form of anomaly in Stalker 2. It is also the more dangerous one of the two variants in Stalker 2. These appear as floating balls of fire, akin to a small solar flare. The Fire Poltergeist is particularly annoying because it inflicts the burn status on you and can chip away at your health rather fast if you do not heal yourself.

Here are the steps to defeat Fire Poltergeists in Stalker 2:

  • Always maintain a safe distance from the Fire Poltergeist; otherwise, you will be inflicted with a burn status.
  • Fight from a distance and use long-range weapons like ARs or SMGs to quickly drain their health. Snipers are an option too, but they are slow and should be avoided here.
  • The Fire Poltergeist will often move and reposition itself. Do not waste your bullets; wait for it to become stationary. Once it is still, shoot at it to deal as much damage as possible.
  • If the Fire Poltergeist is in a closed area, you can also use grenades to deal massive amounts of damage.
  • Make sure to equip medkits and other healing items to your quick access slots so you can heal easily in the heat of battle.
  • Lastly, keep an eye on your health, as the burn damage can drain you very fast without you noticing it.

Electric Poltergeists (also known as Electro or Invisible Energy) are much easier to beat in Stalker 2 when compared to their fiery variant. Although it is an Electric Poltergeist, its appearance is more like a small cloud of smoke. Its most notable feature is an annoying screeching noise when it attacks. This electrical monster has access to telekinesis and will not shy away from shooting random objects and rubble toward you. Moreover, the Electric Poltergeist can also pass through you, dealing significant damage.

However, with the right strategy, you can defeat it easily. Follow these steps to easily defeat Electric Poltergeists in Stalker 2:

  • The Electric Poltergeist does not inflict any status effect, so you can choose to fight it long-range or short-range.
  • Sneak up on this monster and use a shotgun to deal a massive amount of damage.
  • The Electric Poltergeist can turn invisible and is difficult to track. Use its sound to track it for the most part.
  • When you hear its screeching noise or see it using telekinesis to levitate an object, run erratically and jump to dodge its throwable attack.
  • If you are not at close range, use ARs or SMGs to shoot and deal damage. Do not spray your entire magazine, as it will move a lot.
  • Once hit, it will move a lot and create a barrier of rubble. Track its movements and hit it when it is visible again.
  • Equip healing items and medkits on your quick access slots to heal instantly.
