What Is Chain Wrestling and How To Initiate It WWE 2K25?
Chain Wrestling is a grappling-based mini-game that tests the proficiency of the wrestlers. It involves trading different holds back and forth, attempting to attack or push off an opponent wrestler.
The Chain Wrestling sequence is often triggered automatically at the start of the standard 1vs1 match when performing certain grapples. You’ll know the buff is active when a lock symbol appears on top of both wrestlers’ name bars. This lock meter disappears over time. Alternatively, you can trigger the Chain Wrestling manually without the lock icon by pressing and holding the grapple button.
How the Chain Wrestling Mechanism Works in WWE 2K25?
Once Chain Wrestling is triggered, a circular prompt will appear with the following options: Wrench, Switch, Attack, and Drive. Here is what each does:
- Wrench: Performs a grapple hold, such as a headlock, leglock, armbar, and more.
- Switch: Shift into another grappling hold.
- Drive: Push the opponent wrestler to the corner and break the loop while gaining an advantageous position.
- Attack: Perform an attack move on the opponent.
The success rate of each prompt will be indicated by its number of bars. If an option has more bars, it has more chances to succeed.
Choosing any available prompts will take you to the next step of Chain Wrestling, a hotspot mini-game that requires you to fill a circle. Rotate the left joystick until you feel the vibration in a specific direction. Continue pointing in the direction to fill the circle. Whoever fills the circle first executes the selected move. The Chain Wrestling loop continues based on choices both wrestlers make, with success or failure determining the next steps.
