We have brought you a guide to help you through your journey in Path of Exile 2 (PoE2) during the Ascent to Power quest.
Ascent to Power is a side quest in Path of Exile 2 that players don’t necessarily need to concern themselves with. But we locked in to help out the curious bunch like yourself! A preliminary requirement for this quest is that you must have defeated Balbala, The Traitor.
Once you defeat him, he will drop Balbala’s Barya. This will be your gateway to starting the optional quest in question. There are many objectives that you need to complete to complete it. So, fasten your seatbelts, folks of Wraeclast.
Beginning the Ascent To Power in PoE2
Once you have the possession of Balbala’s Barya, you can visit Ardura Caravan and speak to Zarka. He will be a familiar face because of his involvement in giving you a major boss fight.
The next thing you would want to do is open the Desert Map and travel to The Trial of Sekhemas. Once inside the structure, you can proceed to the Relic Altar near a waypoint. Interact with the altar to place the Barya there.
Balbala, the Advisor, will now show up nearby. Talk to the NPC, and he will grant you an Urn Relic. You can now interact with the Relic Altar again to start the Trial. Inserting an Urn Relic will give you a buff for your trial run.
You can talk to Balbala about changing Urn Relics in new trial attempts. Then, you must complete the Trials you choose on the Trial Map. Based on what you chose, the game will grant you buffs/debuffs for that challenge.
Ending Your Ascent To Power in PoE2
Players must complete all the Trials to wrap up their Ascent to Power. The final trial, however, will be against Rattlecage, the Earthbreaker. It has some powerful swings and slams that you need to look out for. Getting hit will make you lose honor, failing the Trial automatically.
Once you defeat it successfully, go to the Altar of Ascendancy near Balbala, the Advisor. Keep your cool because you will be making an important decision of choosing your Ascendary Class.
If you have Sacred Water left on you, visit Keth Forge to convert it all into Keys that you can use to open Bronze, Silver, and Gold Caches.
