Our guide on the Separation Anxiety mission in the Black Ops 6 campaign will eliminate any confusion you may have.
Separation Anxiety picks off inside the safehouse in Bulgaria in the Black Ops 6 campaign. Jane Harrow is now in your custody after the events in Vorkuta. Troy Marshall reveals that Jane has a chip in her arm that lets Pantheon track her down and that her buddies may be swinging by anytime soon.
There is not much time to prepare canonically. But players can take their time and complete any unfinished business around the safe house. If you haven’t already, now would be a great time to solve the puzzles and grab the cash inside. Use it to upgrade your perks, gear, and weapons for one final battle.
Technically, Separation Anxiety is the second last mission in the campaign, but it’s deeply intertwined with the Checkmate mission. So, you won’t be completely free until you have finished the story.
When ready, walk up to the evidence board and start the mission.
Separation Anxiety Has Different Phases
The First Mirror Shard
Adler injects Harrow with the Separation drug to make her ‘introspect’ in the literal sense. They are doing it to find out the location of the Cradle. Parkour your way up to a room and interact with toddler Jane beside the bed. Once she is gone, interact with the mirror opposite to her as the prompt appears.
This is when you meet with the Evil Harrow who is keeping the Cradle’s location from the Good Harrow. We don’t think that Jean has an alternate identity, but that she is torn between her selfish Pantheon cause and helping her former CIA friends. After a flashback scene, you are teleported to a torn-up Vorkuta.
There is a puzzle that you need to solve to gather the first glass shard. Visit the marked locations and interact with the notes there. Come back to the chest once you have interacted with all three locations. All the notes hint at the chest’s code. The code will always be 9-1-8 (desk-scouts-party).
The Second Mirror Shard
For the second glass piece, you are transported to another location, which happens to be a facility connected to the Cradle and the Pantheon. You have a gun this time around and the only source of light is your flashlight. That can’t be good, right?
Make your way to the shard but the beam you are walking on will betray you at the last moment. Now you have to turn on the generator in front of you. There are three more. The locations of all the generators are marked on your HUD – pretty straightforward. Beware though, multiple zombie Jane will come out once you turn on a generator. Kill them using your handgun.
If there is a mannequin following you, don’t worry. It looks creepy but is completely harmless and can’t be killed either. Once done, head to the elevator control button and interact with it. Climb the ladder once it stops and walk on the beam to grab the second shard.
The Third Mirror Shard
After one of the Checkmate episodes, we finally get back to Jane Harrow being guided through the Separation experience by Frank Woods. This time around, the mission is named Separation Anxiety: Lies. Evil Harrow is manipulating the Good Harrow into believing that the CIA and the rogue team are against her.
You explore some of her past but are soon kicked off by Evil Harrow. Make your way through the truck full of rigged barrels and grab the gun in the cache outside. Try making your way to the next platform and open the cache to grab the grappling hook inside. Failure to do so will teleport you back to the beginning spot and reset the timer.
Don’t stop to shoot Evil Harrows. Keep moving as you shoot and grab the grappling hook if you haven’t already. Once you do, you will respawn with the hook intact. Quickly grapple your way to the end. After some revelations and dialogues in the CIA building, you are teleported to a location with only dunes in sight.
You will first get a Shotgun to kill all the Jane zombies. Then, an LMG to do the same. Keep running and shoot mindlessly without aiming; the mags never get empty. Lastly, you will get dual pistols, but, this time around, the zombie Jane(s) will be rigged with bombs. Shoot them before they get to you and you will eventually be rewarded with the last piece of the mirror.
The Final Phase
This mission is named Separation Anxiety: Truth and comes after yet another Checkmate sequence. You are now in an Avalon penthouse. Fight your way through Jane zombies and multiple Evil Harrow to interact with the mirror in the end. You will be teleported to a helicopter flying beside the very same penthouse building you were in just now. Keep shooting the zombies.
A helicopter will soon come to attack you. Shoot at it to make it go down. You will eventually fall down on a roof. Just run towards the helicopter, and Woods will pull you up.
The mission will come to a close after a cutscene.
Are There Any Rewards or Challenges in Separation Anxiety?
The mission unfortunately doesn’t feature any ‘secrets’ because there is not much room for exploration. Similarly, there are no listed challenges on the Evidence Board for this mission. The only listed challenge is for Checkmate, which is intertwined with Separation Anxiety. There is a reward, however. Completing the final mission will reward players with a Charm to use in multiplayer.
This sums up the walkthrough for Separation Anxiety and its various phases.
