Continue Operation Desert Storm in The Cradle mission in Black Ops 6 Campaign. Here’s a through guide for you.
Chasing down the Cradle wasn’t an easy task, but our protagonists in Black Ops 6 eventually caught up to it. Right after the Hunting Season mission in the game, you have to regroup with the British SAS and proceed to raid Saddam Hussein’s palace in person.
Leads suggest that the bunker at the back of his palace contains a Pantheon property. The mission is quite small and straightforward. Players wouldn’t even find it on the noticeboard. The last time they were at the safe house before this mission was when they started off the Hunting Season mission.
As this is a surprise mission, you can’t access it from the board. However, it plays a vital role in the story because you finally discover what Pantheon has been up to, while complicating the situation further.
Getting to The Cradle and Getting Out Alive
Once you have completed the main objectives in the last mission of taking out the three marked SCUD Launchers, talk to Cpt. Gladney in the Layup. You can stay for a while to explore the open-world Iraq if you haven’t already or proceed to the palace.
The Delta Team then raids Saddam Hussein’s palace. Your opposing side will put up a formidable fight. Make your way to the bunker in the back. You will discover something unexpected. Gladney will then reveal that he can’t hold the bombing much longer. Head out of the bunker and use the rope on the sides to climb the palace building right in front of you.
Fight off the swarm of enemies. Two choppers will fly in to drop some reinforcements; use the rocket launchers lying around to destroy them. Later, two more will come and should be met with the same fate.
Gladney will eventually come by in his own chopper, once you have taken out enough enemies and RPGs. Hop on to the helicopter as soon as possible and fly away with your team as the palace gets bombed.
Hidden Secret During The Cradle Mission
Since this mission isn’t available to access from the Evidence Board itself, there’s no way to know about its challenges and rewards unless you accidentally stumble upon them by completing the mission. However, there is a secret safe location that you may want to look out for.
When you get out of the vehicle, get to a cover and shoot everyone on sight. Don’t go straight under the archway ahead of you. Instead, take the left door. There will be enemies waiting to put up resistance. Kill everyone to ensure your safety and head upstairs. You will find yourself in a luxurious sitting room. Spot the table at the end of the room, on which there will be a radio where you can tune in and get the codes for the safe. The safe is mounted on the wall just on the left side of the radio.
After this, proceed to continue the story and the mission will eventually come to a twisted conclusion.
