You can deal with artifact radiation in Stalker 2 by consuming Vodka, using anti-radiation artifacts, or equipping the right gear.
Stalker 2’s Zone is rife with radiation, having fallen victim to two nuclear disasters. In the wake of these disasters, grotesque monstrosities roam these lands, stalking anyone and everyone indiscriminately. The disasters also spawned strange yet extremely valuable artifacts, which are now scattered across the Zone. These artifacts offer valuable traits that can make you stronger and increase your odds of survival.
Some of these artifacts, however, come at a cost. Anytime you pick up an artifact in the game, you are exposed to high radiation levels. This is marked by a static sound and can be seen on the bottom left corner of your screen. With enough radiation built up, your HP starts taking a hit, leading to fatal consequences. Thankfully, the artifact radiation can be dealt with, and this guide will show you exactly how.

Artifact Radiation Remedies
Consume Anti-Radiation Drugs and Vodka
The simplest and easiest way to deal with artifact radiation in Stalker 2 is to chug down a bottle of Vodka and completely ignore it. Yes, seriously, that is a viable solution. Consuming Vodka in the game helps deal with radiation. Alternatively, you can also consume anti-radiation drugs. These items, however, consume inventory space and can be a hassle to find and store.
Use Anti-Radiation Artifacts
Another way of dealing with artifact radiation is to find anti-radiation artifacts. These are rare and provide protection against radiation. The protection levels vary from artifact to artifact and can be weak or strong. To view an artifact’s protection level, open your inventory and look for the “Radio Protection” description on the artifact.
Equip the Right Gear
Various armor and other pieces of equipment in the game come with some form of base protection against radiation. If your equipment’s base radiation protection overpowers the artifact’s radiation, consider yourself safe. You can check your equipment stats by hovering over the item in your inventory.
The item stats and radiation protection stats can also be boosted by upgrading your gear. The more you upgrade your equipment, the better your odds of surviving the radiation. You can also stack up your suit’s radiation protection stats with the anti-radiation artifacts mentioned above. Mix and match various pieces of gear with the right artifacts to increase your chances of survival in the Zone.
