Metaphor ReFantazio features a vast world to explore, brimming with powerful foes and allies that make the journey much more interesting. However, before you do that, start small with the very first enemy of the game, Homo Gorleo. Homo Gorleo is found in the game’s prologue within the Northern Border Front. Take it down to progress into the United Kingdom of Euchronia.

How to Beat Homo Gorleo in Metaphor ReFantazio
When you first encounter Homo Gorleo, you’ll play as the protagonist while being accompanied by Strohl. Since this fight takes place during the prologue, it essentially serves as a tutorial that gets you used to the game’s many systems and mechanics. When the fight begins, you will deal little to no damage to the horrifying boss, making the efforts seem useless. During this phase, defend yourself from Homo Gorleo’s attacks so you don’t take too much damage.
A while into the fight, a cutscene will play. After the cutscene has ended, your character will gain the ability to deal significantly more damage to Homo Gorleo. The game allows you to use the Seeker Archetype at this point. This means you can use the Cyc skill to deal rather impressive damage to the boss. If your health gets too low during the fight, use the Dei skill to heal yourself. Then, exploit the boss’ weaknesses to wear it down even quicker. To do so, focus on Homo Gorleo’s Legs and Wings.
The boss constantly heals itself using apples during the battle. However, once Gallica intervenes, have her knock the boss’ apples down. This lets you launch an all-out assault on Homo Gorleo and take it down for good. Once you have done so, you will earn one Gorleo’s Apple. You can sell this apple at the in-game shop for money later.
