Orgas can be a formidable foe to defeat. Here’s a guide that can help you devise an effective strategy against the Level 38 boss.
Orgas is a boss that you won’t be facing anytime near the beginning of the game. Players are required to level up to even think about putting down this monstrosity. But if you are already there, let’s just take a step to learn more about this enemy.
You will encounter the boss as part of the Superior Scrimshaw Bounty Quest given to you by a craftsman in the Merchant’s Bazaar in Brilehaven. You need to visit the Forsaken Tower to collect the Ebony Horn to prove that you are not a fraud adventurer.
And guess where you will find this horn? Of course, on top of the intimidating Orgas. This guide will detail his weaknesses and strengths, and a suggested layout for the battle.

Making Orgas Bite the Dust
Strengths and Weaknesses (and How to Exploit Them)
The stats that the big bad boss carries justify his appearance. He doesn’t only look tough but is also a tough opponent to defeat. This is because he is resistant to most physical attacks. Slash, Strike, and Pierce won’t work well against him. However, there is one weakness that you need to exploit in the best way possible.
The developers didn’t turn the monster into a God-like being. They gave it an innate weakness to the Dark element. This is something that players, by the time they reach the required Level, will learn to use efficiently. Bypassing the strengths and aiming for weaknesses is exactly what the next step is all about.
Picking the Best Characters and Archetypes
You are presented with some choices when going on an adventure as to who you would like to take with you in a dungeon. This can greatly alter your combat experience as some characters are naturally inclined towards a few Archetypes than others. And each Archetype will offer a different playstyle.
First off, keep the Protagonist with you and make them the Faker this time around. Keep Strohl, Hulkenberg, and Heismay to grant them the Thief, Cleric, and Assassin Archetype, respectively. The reason why we recommend choosing these is because this combination, along with the skills, could work wonders for you when going against Orgas.
Don’t Forget to Strategize
One of its iconic moves is that it applies multiple buffs before offenses and defenses. This is a genius move for a non-sapient-looking creature. However, it obviously can’t think as deeply as you. So, use that Faker Archetype to negate the buffs. Thief and Assassin can also coordinate skills like Mudoon and Assassinate to increase the damage.
You can start by using the Steal skill on the boss first to get some precious loot out of the way. Don’t forget to use Dark Skills on it afterward. Once enough damage is dealt in a row, Orgas can enter Rampage mode. This will be a problem because the Tower boss can use multiple buffs. This is where Dekaja skill comes into play from the Faker that we discussed earlier.
And in case you have been hit hard, don’t forget that you have a Cleric waiting for you, ideally in the back, for party healing. This will naturally allow you to last longer in the battle and have a higher chance of winning the fight.
Collecting the Victory Prize
After the battle has come to an end, you can collect the Ebony Horn from his body to show to the Merchant who gave you this quest in the first place. As for the prize you get after defeating the boss, the immediate battle will grant you:
- EXP: 2400
- A-EXP: 720
- MAG: 1000
- Reeve: 1300
