Uxmal, The Beastlord in Path of Exile 2 is one of the Trial of Chaos bosses in Path of Exile 2. This enemy is a dragon that changes attack patterns based on which part of the arena you are fighting. Each attack has its own effects and element type, forcing you to adapt while fighting this boss.

This boss has multiple damage types and can be hard to deal with due to how cramped each level of the arena is. This makes moving around and evading attacks difficult.

Boss Moveset

To defeat Uxmal, The Beastlord, it is important to know what attacks this boss will unleash in the arena, as they vary depending on where you are fighting. Given the confined space and the need to reposition frequently, you will be forced to adapt to different scenarios and adjust your strategy on the go to survive the shifting attack patterns.

AttackDescription
Top Level: Fire BreathThis area houses the exit where you may first encounter Uxmal, The Beastlord in Path of Exile. The boss will breathe flames on the ground that linger for a while.

Make sure to avoid the flames, especially if you focus on melee attacks. There’s not much room to run around in this level, so you need to attack while moving backward.
Middle Level: Ice BreathIf you decide to take the stairs to the middle level of the arena, the boss will switch its attacks to ice type. The Ice Breath leaves a frozen ground that gives you the Chills debuff when you step on it.\

This slows down most of your attacks and movement. This can be a nightmare for a melee fighter as closing the gap will be challenging.
Bottom Level: Lightning SparksThe bottom level of the arena is a swamp. Uxmal, The Beastlord in Path of Exile will switch to using Lightning attacks that linger on the ground for a while.

Make sure to stay away from the lightning sparks as they can explode and hit you with a lightning bolt.

Each of the three attack types applies debuffs to the character when they hit:

  • Fire Breath – Continuously deals fire damage to the player.
  • Ice Breath – Slows your actions and makes you vulnerable. Hits against you will ignore a portion of your defenses.
  • Lightning Sparks – Increases the damage you take from attacks
