How To Do Private Chat on Roblox
Gamers can message players privately during the game as well as send a message to a player outside the game. Gamers should do the following to message privately in the game:
- To send a private message, enter “/w” followed by the player’s username, or click on their name in the chat and type your message.
- You can also go to their profile and select “Message” or “Chat” from the profile banner.
- Make sure both you and the recipient have your privacy settings adjusted to allow private messaging outside of a game.
Adding Friends on Roblox
Before messaging players on Roblox, gamers need to have friends added in the game to be able to privately message them. Follow the following steps to easily message your friends in the game:
- Open the Roblox website.
- Log in to your account and go to the home page.
- Use the search bar on the top of the screen and search for your friend’s username.
- Search for the name in the people’s category and select the correct profile.
Messaging During the Game
- Open the Roblox website or desktop application.
- Log in to your account.
- Enter a game of your choice.
- Choose the chat option provided on the screen and select a username.
- A private message can also be sent by using the /w command.
- Type the message and press enter to send it!
Messaging Outside of a Roblox Game
- Log in to your Roblox account.
- Go to the Friends section.
- Choose the friend whom you want to message.
- Press the chat button and send your friend the message!
