Want to learn the enchantment process in Oblivion Remastered? We have you covered. Here is everything you need to know about the enchantment process in the game, and what items you will need to do it.
Enchanting Weapons in Oblivion Remastered

Enchanting your items is an important task in Oblivion Remastered, keeping you aligned with the game’s difficulty. Doing it requires patience and some prerequisites that you can forage throughout the vast world.
To enchant your weapons, you must find an Enchantment Altar. If you’re unfamiliar, you can easily discover it in the Imperial City’s Arcane University chambers. Only members of the Mages Guild can access that area, as it is off-limits to visitors.
Once you have joined the guild, you can now enter the university. In the chambers, you can access the Enchantment Altar that will allow you to enchant your weapons with various ailments. Still, you will need four specific items to execute the process. Here are the items that you will need:
- Gold Coin
- The item you want to enchant
- Spell
- A Filled Soul Gem
Where to Find The Items?
Gold is the main currency of the game. You can easily find them in chests hidden in dungeons. Players can discover spells and armaments in the earliest sections of the game, as they are the basic combat materials.
However, finding a Filled Soul Gem required intricate foraging. Initially, you will need an Empty Soul Gem that can be created with a dark ritual through the Mages Guild. Once you have it, you can now use the Soul Trap spell on your enemies to capture their souls and trap them in the gem.
After you have all the items, you can now access the Enchantment Altar and start the enchanting process.
