Tips and tricks to Beat the Tiger Vanguard Boss
Charge a level 3 heavy attack so you approach the Tiger Vanguard boss. Once you’re on the pool, he’ll hop to you from the right direction, so make sure to release your charge attack once he starts moving. You’ll be able to hit and stagger him as he jumps to you. Try to get a couple of light attacks and then use the cloud step, so now he will not see you and you’ll be able to safely charge to level three once again.
Try to close to him during this time to slowly drain his health, thanks to the armor set effect. Then hit him again once he’s not moving too much. He’ll be staggered once again but at this time you’ll have no more stamina, so use this time to walk close and use the Wandering shite spirit to stagger him to give you more time to recover some stamina.
After that, you can immobilize him and get one full combo in. Cloud set would be available by then, so use it as soon as you finish the combo and start charging another heavy attack. Remember, you can still get hit with Cloud Step, so try to stay behind him when he attacks and watch your health. At this point, it’s a good idea to transform and get as much damage as you can. I recommend just doing Dash Attacks.
To finish off the Tiger Vanguard, save up your mana and stun with Immobilize and or a stage 3 charged heavy attack.
Best Strategies for Defeating Tiger Vanguard Boss
Below are the best strategies for defeating Tiger Vanguard in Black Myth Wukong.
- Jump and Slam: At the start of every fight with Tiger Vanguard, he will jump at you and slam his body to the ground. The moment both those feet are about to remerge into the blood pool, that’s when you need to dodge.
- Uppercut: He does an uppercut with his right hand and then he’s going to take his left hand and then slam it into the ground. Right before he does the right-hand uppercut, he’ll swing his left arm in front of him and then he’s going to swing it back and right when he’s swinging it back that’s when the right hand is going to come for the uppercut and that’s when you need to dodge.
- Roar Attack: He’s going to bring both of his arms in front of him and then he’s going to pull them apart and he’ll roar and when he does that, he’ll send out a range attack where he’s going to rotate with that roar. The moment you see that sound wave rotating towards you and it’s about to get you, that’s when you will dodge and then he’s going to follow it up with a punch and when he takes a step forward then you need to dodge the moment he steps forward.
- Twist Body Attack: He’ll charge at you with his left shoulder forward and right before he reaches you, he’s going to twist his body and jump in the air, right when he reaches you and he jumps in the air that can damage you. You need to dodge right before he jumps and then you need to wait a moment while he hangs in the air and then dodge right before slams back into the ground.
Strategies Continued
- Blood Slashes: He’ll put his right hand on his sword and then put his left hand right in front of his face and he’s going to pull out his blade and do an animation where he summons blood and some sparks. When he does this, make as much distance between you and him as possible. All you have to do is hold in sprint and run to the side and you can avoid all five of those attacks.
- Rock Solid (Teleport): He’ll do a spin move and then he’s going to get on the ground like he’ll pounce at you and turn into a statue. Regardless of what you do here, he’ll teleport somewhere else and will do a dash punch attack. The moment you see him get on the ground and turn into a statue then you’re going to unlock from him and start sprinting away and turn around and sprint in the opposite direction.
- 4 Attack Combo:Tiger will roll into the side and then leap forward at you and right when he leaps forward at you, he’ll swipe at you with his right hand. The moment he jumps at you after doing that roll, that’s when you’re going to dodge the first swipe and then wait a breath and dodge the second swipe.
- Rock Solid: The Tiger will bring both of his arms right in front of him and then he’ll pull him back out wide and turn into a stone statue. Once he turns into stone and if you smack him then he’ll wind his left fist back and punch you. The best thing you can do to avoid this attack is do nothing, and that will avoid this attack altogether.
