Oblivion Remastered saves its progress in your computer’s “Documents” folder. However, depending on a PC’s configuration, it may not have the necessary permissions to access that folder, which triggers the disk full issue. There are two ways of fixing this issue, which are listed below:

1) Manually Create the Oblivion Save Folder

Oblivion Remastered is unable to create a save folder in your computer’s “Documents” folder, and that’s the cause behind the error. Manually creating the folders seems to fix it for some users. Follow these steps:

  • Launch Windows Explorer and go to the Documents folder.
  • Next, go to the “My Games” folder and create a new folder there called “Oblivion Remastered.”
  • Next, create another folder inside the newly created folder and save it as “Saved.”
  • Now, relaunch the game, and it should be able to save the progress files without any issues.

2) Turn Off Controlled Folder Access

Controlled Folder Access is a security feature that prevents unauthorized programs and games from accessing Documents and other sensitive folders. Turning this feature off will allow the game to access the Documents folder just fine. Here’s how to turn off the Controlled Folder Access feature:

  • Search for Windows Security/Windows Defender and launch it.
  • Click on the Virus & threat protection option.
  • Next, click on the Manage Settings button under the Virus & threat protection settings.
  • Next, scroll down and click on the Manage Controlled Folder Access button.
  • Now, toggle off the Controlled Folder Access feature.
