Getting the Jungle Chocobo
Players can get the Jungle Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as they progress through the main storyline in Chapter 9. Firstly, you need to reach the Gongaga village and explore around a little bit, while doing so, you will have the option to interact with your party members throughout the village. After that you need to rest for the night. Next day you get the mission to go to the Mako reactor near the village with Cloud, Barret and Cait Sith in your party to check out the commotion.
After reaching the reactor, you must navigate to the core completing puzzles and fighting monsters. At the core, players have to face off against Scarlet and her army of Amalgamations. After the fighting sequence, the scene transitions back to the village. There, Cissnei provides Tifa, Aerith, and Yuffie with Jungle Chocobos to swiftly reach the reactor and support the other party members. From this point forward, you will have the Jungle Chocobos unlocked for the rest of the Gongaga Region.
The Jungle Chocobos are very helpful for this region as they have special abilities. They can jump on mushrooms to reach farther distances and slide on branches scattered around the forest to access secret locations.
