How To Get Migrants in Civilization 7
Migrants can be acquired in all ages—Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern—by completing certain actions or meeting specific conditions. There are several ways to acquire them in Civ 7.
- Narrative Events are one of the prominent ways to obtain Migrants. Certain Narrative Events can make Migrants spawn in your settlements. Keep an eye on Narrative Events to identify which ones reward Migrants by hovering over the available choices. Additionally, Discoveries, such as random camps and tents, can also make Migrants appear in your territories.
- The Statue of Liberty, a Modern Age wonder, rewards four Migrants upon completion. You can build the man-made wonder by progressing through the American Civics tree. Once completed, these Migrants will appear at the center of the city where the Statue of Liberty was built. This wonder also boosts the happiness of the city by +6.
- Another effective way to acquire Migrants is through the Lantern Memento, which allows Migrants to spawn in the capital upon the successful completion of an Espionage action without being detected. The Lantern Memento can be unlocked by reaching Level 2 with Harriet Tubman and can be used by any leader once unlocked.
- Certain Crisis Policies such as Miasma can also reward Migrants.
How To Use Migrants in Civilization 7
The Migrant unit increases the population of the city or town in which they are settled. In addition to the population increase, they also save the tile costs of establishing new districts. They eliminate the need for your settlements to grow and allow you to build a rural district on an unimproved tile they occupy. Once you obtain a Migrant, you can send them to any of your settlements and then allow them to occupy any tile using the Resettle option.
