You will find various stashes in GSC Game World’s survival RPG STALKER 2, and here is how to get the stash at Detention Center.
Developed by GSC Game World, STALKER 2 or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a post-apocalyptic survival RPG released recently on November 20, 2024, for PC and Xbox. In the survival RPG, you will navigate the radiation-affected Zone as Skif (Protoganist).
While traversing, you may stumble upon various stashes such as Journalist Stash and Sheltered Stash. These stashes are usually placed at hidden locations, making them challenging to find for most of the players. That’s why we brought you this guide to simplify your task of locating the Detention Center Sheltered Stash in STALKER 2.

Detention Center Sheltered Stash Location in STALKER 2
The Detention Center is located in the southeast of the Garbage Region. As you notice in your map, the Detention Center has a Sheltered Stash for the players. The stash is located on the building’s rooftop.
Enter the building through the southwest exterior corner. Make your way forward until you reach the stairs. Reach the top floor by heading upstairs. Follow the corridor and enter the room on your left. You will find a concrete pillar that was placed diagonally. You can use it to reach the rooftop.
Upon reaching the rooftop, turn back and sprint towards the rooftop. Get past several fire anomalies to reach the other end of the rooftop. There you will find the body and the Sheltered Stash. Approach the Sheltered Stash at the Detention Center and interact to search the stash for loot.
Additional Loot Opportunity in Detention Center
In addition to the Sheltered Stash, the Detention Center has another set of loots for the players. Upon reaching the rooftop, jump through the hole in the ceiling instead of reaching the end. It takes you to the room adjacent to the damaged room.
There you will find a backpack that contains valuable supplies such as ammo, bandages, and medkits. If you have entered the door near the Sheltered Stash, you will find a padlock near a stairwell. Breaking the padlock leads you to the friendly NPCs (including Star) at the Detention Center.
