How to Get Fell Dragon Youngling Head in Enshrouded
You can get the Fell Dragon Youngling Head in Enshrouded after you’ve upgraded your Flame Alter to Level 7, completed the ‘Slaying the Corrupted Beast’ quest, and defeated the Fell Dragon Youngling at the top of Howling Peak.
After upgrading your Flame Alter to Level 7 in Enshrouded, interact again with the Flame to receive the Slaying the Corrupted Beast quest. This is a multi-step quest that will send you across the entire mountain zone to find and light eight balefires. Here are the basic steps to complete the Slaying the Corrupted Beast quest:
- Receive the quest from The Flame.
- Find the first balefire (locations should be marked on your map).
- Light the first balefire.
- Find and light all of the other seven balefires.
- Make your way to the very top of Howling Peak.
- Defeat the Fell Dragon Youngling.
Additionally, before setting out to discover all of the balefires, make sure to unlock the Updraft skill in the Assassin/Trickster skill tree. It costs 4 points to unlock and allows you to press the jump button while gliding for a small height boost. You must have the Updraft skill active in order to reach some of the balefires.
Fighting the Fell Dragon Youngling Boss
The best way to attempt the Fell Dragon Youngling fight is with a Ranger build and hundreds of Stun Arrows. The Fell Dragon Youngling will spend all of its time in the air unless you can fill up the stun meter and bring it down to the ground. You can find the stun meter up in the right-hand corner of the HUD, just below the red HP bar. As you hit the dragon with stuns, the bar will fill up with grey.
Wizards and other spellcasters who want to fight the Fell Dragon Youngling with the builds that they have will need to focus on Lightning spells and weapons. A wand alone will not have the range to reach the dragon while it’s in the air, so be sure to also have a Lightning staff on hand. Additionally, you can also add to the stun meter by parrying the red shroud meteors.
As you work on filling the stun bar, the dragon has a fire ‘beam’ attack that it will breathe in a sweep across the whole area. You can double-jump over this if you time it right. It’s generally easier to avoid if you stay on the outer edge of the ring.
After the stun bar fills and the dragon crashes to the ground, you can start to attack and chip away at its HP. The Fell Dragon Youngling has a lot of HP and it may take several rounds before you can finish it. Rangers in particular should always go for backstab damage, and other melee builds could bring along Lightning weapons for additional effect.
When the dragon is finally defeated, you can loot the body for a Shroud Core, Runes, and a Fell Dragon Youngling Head!
