Take a look at this quick guide to find out how to get Honey in Palworld without having to buy it at an expensive rate.
Honey is a relatively common resource that you can find easily. But when you don’t know where you should be looking for it, you will struggle a lot. I remember not being able to find it anywhere during my first playthrough and then randomly killing a wild Pal that dropped it.
To be honest, that’s the key to finding Honey at the beginning of the game. You must kill certain Pals. Once you have leveled up enough, you can resort to nonviolent methods and farm it instead.
First introduced in the Early Access update 0.1.2.0, Honey quickly became an important resource to gather for a few reasons (that we will explore later). Both early and mid-game players have to resort to different methods to obtain it.
Getting Honey Through All Methods in Palworld
There are four Pals as of now that drop Honey upon death; namely: Cinnamoth, Beegarde, Elizabee, and Warsect. When you face any of these Pals out in the world and eliminate them, they have a chance of dropping Honey.
- Cinnamoth, out of all these names, is the only Pal that should be your go-to creature at the beginning of the game. These monsters are generally easier to take down compared to the rest of the three mentioned above. You can find them on the center-most island on the world map with all the Mountain Stream Grotto dungeons.
- Beegarde can be found around the Frostbound Mountains. They can be a little tricky to capture because they burst out upon dying. But if you can counter this by capturing them early, they are a solid source for gathering Honey in Palworld.
- Elizabees are found in the northeastern grassy region around the Frostbound Mountains. They are often located around the same area where you would find Beegardes.
- Warsect is the hardest of them all and can be found out in the wild in the No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary on the west side of Palpagos Island.

Using Honey in Palworld
A peaceful way of “farming” Honey in the game is by setting up the Ranch at level 5. This is when you unlock it. The task is simple. Just grab a Beegarde and put it to work at your base. Try capturing a few of them before you start up the ranch to boost your production immediately. It is a slow process, so we recommend that you stock your base with these Pals to let the production cook at full speed.
Once you have enough Honey, you can use it to make Cakes. These can be helpful in breeding your Pals a bit later in the game. When you reach level 19, the Breeding Farm will unlock. All you have to do is put a male and a female Pal together, add Cake to a chest, and wait. Your time will prove fruitful.
