Palworld players have to rely on finding and collecting a variety of resources to craft gears, upgrades and progress. One of the common items is leather, and you will need a lot of it throughout your play time. Here is a guide to help you find this crafting resource.

How To Find Leather in Palworld

There are three primary ways to find leather in Palworld:

  • Collecting leather from Pals
  • Buying leather from merchants
  • Finding leather in the game world

Here is a detailed look into each of these methods.

1. Collecting Leather From Pals

You can catch or fight certain Pals to derive leather from them. What’s even more interesting is that specific Pals from all types—Fire, Water and Neutral—drop leather. Here are some of the creatures you can defeat or catch for leather:

  • Rooby
  • Fuack
  • Foxparks
  • Kelpsea
  • Melpaca
  • Univolt
  • Kitsun
  • Fuddler
  • Nox

You can easily find many of these Pals early on in the game, making it easy to farm leather from them. Some of the Pals that drop leather travel in packs. So, going up against a pack and slaying them all can be a quick way to gain a significant amount of leather.

2. Buying Leather From Merchants

Several merchants in the game stock leather for you to buy. So, if you don’t want to go on a Pal hunting spree and require leather quickly, you can buy the resource for 150 Gold.

3. Finding Leather in the Game World

Like all other resources, players can come across leather in the environment while exploring. Watch out for the familiar glimmer emitting from many other resources as well, including palladium and arrows.

Another neat trick that you can use to collect leather is to wait near a faction base until they take out the nearby pals. Search the corpses and collect the leather without having to fight the pals.

  • Near the Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster location.
  • Near the Sea Breeze Archipelago Church location.

You can find Direhowls in the spawn island and these Pals are found in the same locations, both at day and night. Taking down a Direhowl pack will give you a hefty collection of leather.
