Loupmoon is a rare nocturnal Pal in Palworld, characterized by its long ears and an uncanny similarity to werewolves when it comes to appearance. This Pal will always be aggressive and will attack you on sight. However, because of its rarity, finding and catching one can be tricky. In this guide, we will provide you with where you can find Loupmoon and strategies for catching one.
Loupmoon Location
Loupmoon will only spawn at nighttime, and that too in specific regions of the map. Your best bet for finding one is to head to either the Northwest Lake Region or the Western Bamboo Forests. Try fast traveling to the Sealed Realm of the Thunder Dragon waypoint after dark to look for this elusive Pal. Once you reach the waypoint, travel north towards the area where you encounter the Jormuntide Boss. This is where packs of Loupmoon usually spawn.
Capturing Loupmoon
You can only capture Loupmoon if you possess the Gigasphere, which is the toughest Pal sphere in the game. The nocturnal Pal has several types of attacks up its sleeve. For instance, it can attack from long range using a purple projectile. When at close range, the Pal resorts to using red-hued swipes. During the battle, Loupmoon will try to rush in and close the distance. You should try to maintain the distance and rely on your long-range weapons to chip away at the Pal’s health.
When its health is low, the Pal will try to flee the battle. Make sure you are ready to go after it to avoid losing your progress in the fight. A Pal that can deal significant amounts of damage is a great companion to have during this fight.
Being a nighttime Pal, it has only one weakness – Dragon element. This should also impact the choice of Pal you want accompanying you in the fight. Dinossom is one of the earliest Dragon Pals you get, so you can consider taking it when fighting a Loupmoon.
Loupmoon Skills and Drops
It has a work suitability of Handiwork Level 2, which means Loupmoon can perform a wide range of activities across your base, including construction, goods manufacturing, and base maintenance. Also, the Pal is decent when assigned for defensive activities due to its considerable attack prowess.
When you kill the Pal, it drops bones. Bones are essential for crafting certain items and gears in the game. So, hunting down the Pal can prove beneficial.
You can add the nocturnal Pal to your party to take advantage of its active and passive skills. Its active skills include Dark Ball, Shadow Burst, and Jumping Claw. Its only passive skill is Diet Lover, which reduces its hunger rate by 15%.
