Do you wish to create enchantments and spells? Here’s how you can do it by getting Magetallow Candles in Oblivion Remastered.
In Oblivion Remastered, magic plays a vital role in both combat and utility. Not only can you cast spells yourself, but you can also infuse magic into weapons using Soul Gems. To access this advanced magical crafting, you will need to journey to Frostcrag Spire and claim the mage’s tower. Once claimed, the tower unlocks new rooms and magical altars, but you need Magetallow Candles to activate them.
Here’s how to get Magetallow Candles and use them to unlock magical power in Oblivion Remastered.
Where To Find Magetallow Candle in Oblivion Remastered?
After inheriting Frostcrag Spire, you will receive a quest to purchase upgrades for your tower. The shop you need to visit is the Mystical Emporium, located on the western side of the Market District in the Imperial City.
To make navigation easier, set the Frostcrag Spire quest as active. This will highlight the shop’s exact location on your map.
Inside the shop, talk to the NPC named Aurolinwae. Click the Barter option in the bottom-left corner of the screen to open the store interface. You can then purchase the Magetallow Candle Box. There are two boxes in total, and each costs over 2,000 Septims. You can also purchase other tower upgrades at the same time.
How To Use Magetallow Candle in Oblivion Remastered
Once you have purchased both Magetallow Candle Boxes, return to Frostcrag Spire. In the main room of the tower, you will find three altars located at the far northern end. The left and right altars require Magetallow Candles to be activated. Here’s what each altar does:
- Altar of Enchanting: Use Soul Gems here to infuse magic into weapons. Enchanting allows you to strengthen basic gear with powerful effects tailored to your build.
- Altar of Spell Making: Create custom spells or tweak existing ones. You can modify effects, duration, and more to suit your playstyle.
If you plan to focus on magic in your playthrough, it’s highly recommended to unlock and activate these altars early in the game.
