How To Find Okun’s Catalyst in Diablo 4
While you can come across the item through various means, the highest chance of it dropping is when you defeat Lord Zir boss. The challenging boss has become a Tormented Boss after Season 6 of Diablo 4, which is why he will drop Mythic Unique items from time to time. Head to the Ancient’s Seat dungeon to encounter this boss. However, make sure you fulfill the necessary requirements. These include:
- You must be in Torment Difficulty for the boss fight to trigger.
- You need nine Exquisite Blood to summon the Tormented Boss at this location.

How To Use Okun’s Catalyst
If you’ve managed to snag the Okun’s Catalyst in Diablo 4, you need to understand how to use it for maximum efficacy. It has the following affixes:

| 1st Affix | Attack Speed increases by up to 35% for 5 secs after you cast a Defensive Spell. |
| 2nd Affix | Every active Ball Lightning results in up to 1.5% of increased Damage Reduction |
| 3rd Affix | Ball Lightning skill rank increases by 1-3 ranks |
| 4th Affix | Ball Lightning spell may cast twice and the chance of that happening is between 13 and 17.5% |
The greatest benefit of Okun’s Catalyst though is that it makes the Ball Lightning orbit the player upon casting. Any enemies caught in this orbit will be damaged between 140% and 180% of normal Ball Lightning damage for every active Ball. Players also receive the Unhindered Buff when this effect is active.
So, it is clear that this unique focus item would be quite useful for certain Sorcerer builds, especially the Ball Lightning Sorcerer build. Combining it with other uniques, such as the Heir of Perdition and the Ring of Starless Skies can make this build incredibly powerful.
