How To Get the Rope
There are two ways to get the Rope in The Forest. You can either find the item scattered across the game’s map, or you can craft it. The Rope was initially only available on the map but was later turned into a craftable item in patch v0.18.
How To Find the Rope
The Rope can be found across a variety of areas on the map. Your best bet when looking for this item is to head for the caves or the villages. Ropes can be found plenty in these areas, though be careful of the cannibals patrolling. You can find 3x Ropes on the Yacht, 2x in the Center Village, 1x in the Crocodile Village, and many more. Keep exploring and you should be fairly stocked up.
How To Craft the Rope
You can also craft the Rope in The Forest, a method that was later patched into the game. You can craft the Rope by combining 7x Cloth. Cloth is found by exploring the various villages in the game, scavenging beaches, opening suitcases, and more. Once you have the required amount, open your inventory by pressing ‘I’. Hover your cursor over the Cloth, press RMB to select the item, and place it on the crafting mat. Select the item seven times. Press RMB again to combine the 7x Cloth and make a Rope.
