The Weird Bolt artifact, a legendary altered item in STALKER 2, is found in the tornado anomalous area in the Yaniv region.
In the survival RPG STALKER 2, surviving the post-apocalyptic radioactive Zone is not an easy job. Since the Zone is full of dangerous enemies, mutants, and anomalies, you should be prepared with essentials such as weapons, gear, and artifacts.
Artifacts are powerful items found throughout the Zone, especially near dangerous anomalies. Each artifact has unique stats and benefits that take effect when equipped in your gear’s artifact slot.
In this guide, we are going to look at how to collect one of the legendary altered items, the Weird Bolt artifact in STALKER 2.

Where To Find the Weird Bolt Artifact in STALKER 2
The Weird Bolt is one of the powerful artifacts in STALKER 2, which can be collected once you reach the Yaniv area during the later part of the story. Since the artifact reduces the damage from anomalies as long as it is charged, it acts as a counter mechanism to deal with anomalies.
The Weird Bolt artifact can be found in the tornado arch anomaly near a settlement close to the Yaniv station, situated far west of the map. You will also find an Inconspicuous Stash in the area. Upon reaching the tornado anomalous area, a stalker will fall from the tornado.
Examining his PDA reveals some clues about the tornado. While the artifact is found at the tornado’s center, entering the tornado directly is highly dangerous and could result in death.

How To Enter the Tornado and Get the Weird Bolt Artifact in STALKER 2
So do we get the artifact then? Luckily, we have a strategy to get to the eye of the tornado. Carry some energy drinks and health kits with you, as you will need them on your way. The crane located in the area is the closest we can get to the tornado’s eye. So that is our key to getting the artifact. Climbing the crane and getting to the other end provides an opportunity to grab the artifact.
Use the cable roll near the crane to climb the container. The next set of containers can be easily accessible from there. Hop to the nearby containers on the right side to reach the starting end of the crane.
Once you are halfway through the crane, do a quick save so that you can load the latest save if you have died during the process or the Weird Bolt artifact didn’t spawn (which rarely happens). Then, continue through the crane to reach the other end. Upon reaching there, the tornado comes in contact with you and deals some damage (heal yourself using health kits and bandages).
Since you are at the eye of the tornado, you can now spot the Weird Bolt, which will be floating towards you slowly. Grab the artifact at the right moment when it approaches you. That’s it. You now have one of the legendary altered items, the Weird Bolt artifact.
