Civilization 7 features three ages for you to explore, but the appropriately titled Exploration Age may be the most exciting. This age expands the map, adding new areas for you to sail to and explore, with new victory conditions set in place. The Treasure Fleet is one of the new additions in this age, and helps you transport treasures.

The new world you find in the Exploration Age is ripe with treasures, which can then be brought back using a Treasure Fleet. These brand new fleets, however, are a little difficult to explain. If you’re looking to get a Treasure Fleet but don’t know how to do so, our guide is here to help. We shall go over how to get a Treasure Fleet in Civilization 7 below.

There is no definite procedure to get a Treasure Fleet in Civilization 7. Instead, the Treasure Fleet spawns on its own after a few turns once you have a coastal settlement with a Treasure resource and Shipbuilding unlocked.

You can check the number of turns needed to unlock your fleet by opening the Resources menu. Open the menu and scroll down to find your settlement. Towards the right of your settlement, you will see a number marked with feathers. This number indicates your Treasure Fleet points, and below this you can see the number of turns remaining till you get your Treasure Fleet.

The Treasure Fleet points indicate how many resources are tied to the fleet, and the number of points you will get when your fleet reaches the old world. Each settlement has certain treasures and resources associated with it, which factor into the Treasure Fleet points. You can check the Treasure Fleet points using the steps mentioned above.

Once the turns are complete, your Treasure Fleet will spawn on its own in the docks. You then have to send it over to your territory in the old world. Click on the fleet, and a small menu will pop up on the bottom right of your screen. Click on the rightmost button, which reads “Unload Cargo.” This button is marked by a cardboard box icon on the menu. Your cargo will then be unloaded, giving you your Treasure Fleet points.
