Hide Text Through Chat Window
For PC players, simply press Enter on the keyboard to open the chat window. Select one of the chat groups and channels in the bottom left part of the interface and left-click on them.
If you’re on a console, you can do this by navigating through the character menu. Once you do this, the selected channels or groups should turn gray, and you won’t see any messages from them.
You can still see the messages later once you enable them. Until then, you won’t be bothered by any messages from these sections.
Using In-Game Menu
You can also hide chat in Path of Exile 2 through the in-game Options section. Here, select the Interface tab and find the Chat section by scrolling down. Next, just show or hide different chat channels and groups.
You can also customize your chat layout in this section, such as adjusting the font size, box width, height, and more. This can be useful if you find the chat section in the in-game interface obscuring your view of important gameplay elements or if you prefer a cleaner, more personalized layout to enhance your overall experience.
Filter Chat Text in Path of Exile 2
If you only want to hide specific texts rather than the entire channel, you can filter chat channels. You can use the Toggle Chat Groups option and choose the channel you want to hide or show.
Here are the different channels in case you are wondering what they are:
- Local: In-game messages from players within your location.
- Global: Any message from any players on the server.
- Party: Messages from your active party. This can be seen regardless of distance.
- Whispers: Messages between you and another player.
- Trade: Messages related to item trades.
- Guild: Messages from your guildmates. You need to be in a guild to use this.
