How To Increase Damage
There are a variety of ways you can increase damage and level the playing field in Path of Exile 2. Some of these methods involve exploiting weaknesses, while others involve enhancing, improving, or replacing gear. We shall discuss them all below.
Debuff the Enemies
The first way of dealing with the various monsters and enemies in the game is to debuff them. Path of Exile 2 allows you to debuff enemies in a variety of ways. There are several curses, shocks, and exposures. Curses such as Despair bring down enemy resistance, making them easier to kill. You can also use exposures to achieve the same effect and bypass enemy resistance.
Improve Quality of Weapons
Another way to keep up with the competition and increase your damage in Path of Exile 2 is to upgrade or improve the quality of your weapons. Doing so will increase the base damage stats and allow you to dish out greater damage and deal with enemies more easily. In addition to damage, boosting a weapon’s quality will also increase other base stats, such as speed and defensive traits. You can improve weapon quality by using a Blacksmith’s Whetstone (for Martial Weapons) or the Arcanist’s Etcher (for Wands/Staffs).
Switch to Higher-Tier Weapons
If you still feel you’re not dealing enough damage to enemies in Path of Exile 2, one of the better ways to overcome this hurdle is to simply switch to a higher-tier weapon. A newer, higher-tier weapon will deal more damage and help you pass through the enemies you’re stuck on. Make sure the weapon you pick fits and complements your build and playstyle. We also recommend making good use of weapon modifiers to complement your build further. As you go up the chain of high-tier weapons, you’ll find weapons with rune slots. You can equip these weapons with damage runes as well to boost their damage further.
Pick the Right Passives
As you progress through Path of Exile 2 and level up, you will be given skill points that you can invest in various Passives. These Passives can increase your HP, attack speed, intelligence, immunity, and more. They can also boost your damage. Invest in the various damage passives spread across the Passives skill tree to increase your damage output in the game.
