Fire acts like a ray of hope, brightening the way ahead in The Forest. Players get stranded in the wilderness with limited supplies where cannibals and other horrors await for them. The first thing that is essential after building a shelter is to make a fire. It certainly helps in boiling the water and cooking the meat while keeping the players warm.
The game offers various fire structures that can be built. Here’s the procedure for making fire and how to use it.
How To Make Fire
The process of making a fire is easy to follow. Open the Survival Guide by pressing (B), and look for the fire icon. From there players can choose the desirable structure they want to build. After building the structure, fire can be lit up by pressing (E). Players can use leaves or cash to keep it burning.
Types of Fire
The Forest has four types of fire structures. Each has their own perks, and here’s a quick explanation about these fire structures:
Basic Fire: As the name suggests, it is a simple fire that a player can build without any hassle. It requires 7x leaf and 2x stick. It can boil polluted water and can cook meat. Players need to burn leaves to keep it going. Moreover, players can reignite it before it breaks.
Fire Pit: On the whole, anything a basic fire does, Fire Pit does that too but with more sustainability. It requires 7x leaf, 4x stick, and 7x rock. To begin with, players can boil water and cook food in it. On top of that, it burns brighter and lasts longer than a basic fire.
Standing Fire: This fire acts as a source of warmth and light. It can be built using 7x leaf, 4x stick, and 3x rock. However, players cannot cook or boil water on this fire. Standing Fire can light a fire arrow just by walking up to it. It can be re-lit 2 times.
Bonfire: To conclude, Bonfire is the largest fire structure in the game. Other than providing light and warmth, this structure is not that useful. Additionally, players can not cook or boil water on it, and it also attracts enemies due to its brightness. It requires 20x leaf, 10x stick, and 5x log. Additionally, it can be re-lit 2 times before burning out.
