Everything you need to know about Artian Parts in Monster Hunter Wilds, including the best ways to obtain them, farming methods, and more.

The Artian Weapons are arguably the most powerful weapon types in Monster Hunter Wilds by a large margin. Not only do these offer superior stats compared to the weapons you can craft from monster parts, but the Artian Weapons also come with better Decoration slots. Furthermore, the flexibility these weapons offer in terms of elemental effects makes them a perfect choice for the endgame.
However, unlike the monster weapons, the Artian Weapons require a very specific crafting material, i.e., the Artian Parts. While crafting an Artian Weapon is quite straightforward, obtaining the Artian Parts isn’t a particularly straightforward affair.
In addition to that, the game doesn’t do a good job of explaining how you can obtain the Artian Parts in High Rank. To help you with that, here’s a comprehensive Artian Weapon guide, including the best methods to obtain Artian Parts in Monster Hunter Wilds.
What Are Artian Parts in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Artian Weapons and Parts unlock as part of the High Rank progression in Monster Hunter Wilds. The Artian Weapons are essentially the endgame-specific weapons that you can craft, separate from the monster weapons. Unlike the regular (monster) weapons in the game, the Artian Weapons require Artian Parts to craft. You need to combine three different Artian Parts to craft a weapon.
Furthermore, you can choose the elemental properties, Affinity, and base damage for the Artian Weapon, before crafting it. The Artian Parts you choose dictate the elemental as well as base damage of the weapon. Here are the different Artian Parts that you need to collect for different weapon types:
- Blades
- Tubes
- Discs
- Devices
Different combinations of these parts are required for the 14 weapon types in Monster Hunter Wilds. Here’s a look at all the Artian Part combinations:
- Great Sword: Blade + Blade +Tube
- Long Sword: Blade + Tube + Tube
- Switch Axe: Blade + Blade + Device
- Charge Blade: Blade + Disc + Device
- Dual Blades: Blade + Blade + Disc
- Hammer: Disc + Disc + Tube
- Insect Glaive: Blade + Tube + Device
- Hunting Horn: Disc + Device + Device
- Bow: Tube + Tube + Device
- Light Bowgun: Tube + Device + Device
- Heavy Bowgun: Disc + Tube + Device
Where To Find Artian Parts?
Artian Parts are received exclusively as a reward for completing a Tempered Monster hunting quest or Investigation. There are three rarities of the Artian Parts (and weapons) – Rarity 6, Rarity 7, and Rarity 8. Defeating the Tempered variants of regular Large Monsters such as Chatacabra, Quematrice, Congalala, Lala Barina, etc., rewards you with Rarity 6 Artian Parts.
Whereas, defeating higher-tier, i.e., 5-star strength versions of these Tempered Monsters rewards you with Rarity 7 Artian Parts. As for Rarity 8 Artian parts, those are obtained exclusively from defeating Tempered Apex Monsters. The Tempered Apex Monsters include:
- Tempered Rey Dau
- Tempered Uth Duna
- Tempered Nu Udra
- Tempered Jin Dahaad
- Tempered Gore Magala
- Tempered Arkveld
Do note that Tempered Apex Monsters only appear once you reach the endgame in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Best Farming Methods for Artian Parts

The best method to farm a ton of Artian Parts is completing Tempered Apex Monster Investigations. Given the nature of Apex Monsters, these Investigations are quite difficult. However, for Rarity 8 Artian Parts, these monsters are the best source. Completing a 5-star strength, i.e., highest-tier Tempered Apex Investigation rewards you with more than 10 Rarity 8 Artian Parts, per quest.
If you want an easier way to farm these materials, go for the 3-star strength Investigations. One of the best ways to farm Rarity 8 Artian Parts early is by completing a 3-star strength Tempered Arkveld Investigation in Windward Plains or Ruins of Wyveria.
You can use the Rest or change the time-of-day feature to force-spawn Tempered Apex Monsters in every region. Most Apex Monsters usually appear during either Plenty or Inclemency.
