Metaphor: ReFantazio, a single-player focused RPG, was released worldwide recently on October 11, 2024. Developed by Studio Zero and co-produced by Atlus and Sega, the game focuses on turn-based combat systems and party customization through “Archetype” powers.
During the journey through Regalith Grand Cathedral in Metaphor: ReFantazio, players will come across a locked treasure chest in the area. It doesn’t have anything to do with the storyline, so they can continue their story without opening the chest. However, some players prefer to collect every collectible in the game to increase their strength.

Where to Find the Key for the Locked Chest in Regalith Grand Cathedral?
Opening the treasure chest in Regalith Grand Cathedral requires several steps.
- First, you need to get a key to the Guest Room. The key can be found in a room located on the right of the treasure chest. The room will be marked as an exclamation point on the map. Unfortunately, the entrance of the room is blocked by Rubble. So, you need to find another way to get to the room.
- Analyzing the map will give you a clue. You can enter the exclamation point-marked room by entering the room located behind it. There is a hole in the wall. Use the hole to crawl through the room. Once you get inside the room, search the dead soldier for the key. Now, head towards the Guest Room, which is located just below the treasure chest. You can go through a staircase.
- Get your party members fully equipped and prepared for a fight as you encounter several enemies immediately after opening the Guest Room. Open the door and defeat them. Finally, you will get the chance to interact with the Pale Monk NPC, who rewards you with the key to the locked treasure chest.
Once you have the key, nothing will stop you. Head back to the Treasure Chest and open it by using the key. You will find the Sanctified Amulet inside the chest.
What is the Use of the Sanctified Amulet in Metaphor: ReFantazio?
The treasure chest at Regalith Grand Cathedral rewards the players with the Sanctified Amulet. The Sanctified Amulet can be used to interact with an altar that you will encounter as you progress through your journey. Inserting the Sanctified Amulet into the altar will unlock a chest for the players. It contains the armor set Exorcist’s Cassock, which proves to be quite useful in the later part of the journey.
