Can you pass the time in Stalker 2? Learn how to skip to day or night as per your wish to manipulate the Zone and its dangers.
The Stalker series has always kept the “pass the time” feature in the franchise. Fortunately, developers have returned with the same mechanic in the latest installment, Stalker 2.
There were a few ways that you could manipulate the time of day in the previous games. One was sleeping after finding a safe space to rest, and the other was opening the PDA to press wait.
In the new game, however, players only have one option, and that is to sleep in a bed. Finding a bed is not a difficult job, so that’s a relief. Look for any safe settlement, and you will find a white-colored ‘bed’ icon on the map. It means that you can find and interact with the personal quarters there.
For example, if you look at the Zalissya map, the bed is located a little northwest of the Technician there. The first bed is unlocked here during the Stalker Wisdom quest. You can also spend time doing other quests and exploration if you don’t wish to sleep. This may be due to various reasons because sleeping in Stalker 2 isn’t free.
What Does It Cost To Pass Time in Stalker 2
Sleeping in any bed will not cost you any Coupons directly. However, it will significantly deplete your Hunger levels. So, make sure to have a snack ready for Skif as soon as he wakes up because Hunger can be problematic in Stalker 2.
It can be a little problematic because players often sleep to pass the time and/or replenish their health. The last thing you would want after your character wakes up is to manage his Hunger if you don’t already have food in your inventory.
Moreover, there is a complication that Skif won’t go to bed with certain status effects intact. If he is Hungry, you may have to feed him first before skipping time using the bed. Similarly, if he is Bleeding, you may have to use bandages to stop it.
Afterward, you don’t have to worry about using a healing item separately because sleeping will restore health automatically. In a way, sleeping can help you hit two birds with one stone, but introducing a new feature to skip time would probably be appreciated by the fanbase.
