Consume is a cult-themed horror game on Roblox. In this game, players take on the role of eerie farmhouse cultists tasked with sacrificing chickens to complete each round. The game throws you into a dim, haunted environment where teamwork, stealth, and a steady flashlight are your best allies.
Strange entities lurk in the shadows, including the relentless Smlik so keeping quiet and moving smart is critical. Most of the gameplay revolves around finding chickens, luring them with seed, and carrying out the grim ritual at the altar.
How To Play Consume Roblox
To begin, your objective in Consume is to complete a set number of chicken sacrifices without letting your team fall victim to the roaming threats inside the farmhouse. The gameplay loop is simple but demands coordination, awareness, and timing.
Start by locating the chicken coop, usually accessible near the beginning of the round. Once the cage is opened, chickens will wander freely. You’ll need to use bags of seeds to lure them. Place a seed bag on the ground and wait for a chicken to approach and start eating. When it does, pick it up and carry it straight to the altar outside.
After that, use a jerry can filled with gasoline to perform the sacrifice. The action is unsettling by design, but it’s necessary for progressing in the game. Repeat this process until you’ve sacrificed enough chickens to win.
Throughout the game, keep your flashlight on hand. Press F to toggle the standard flashlight, which is useful for navigation in dark interiors. Right-click to activate UV mode. This emits a purple light that damages and eventually repels certain enemies. However, UV light has a limited charge, which only regenerates over time in Normal and Hard modes. In Nightmare mode, the UV charge is non-renewable.
Not every threat in the game can be handled with light. Once you open the basement and enter the main house, you’ll encounter Smlik. This entity patrols the halls and will kill you if it spots you. The most effective way to avoid Smlik is to crouch and move quietly. Crouching reduces your noise, potentially helping you go undetected. However, if Smlik is already chasing you, crouching becomes useless. In that case, you need to run.
Maps are also scattered across the environment. While you can’t pick them up, they display your current location with a blue X and highlight key areas. Use these maps alongside visual landmarks to orient yourself quickly.
Ultimately, playing Consume efficiently comes down to knowing your role, using tools strategically, and staying alert.
