How To Reset an Instance in Path of Exile 2
To reset an instance, you need to first find a transition point into the area you want to reset. On PC, you can press Ctrl + Left Click to interact with the transition. On Xbox, press the Y button, and on PlayStation, press Triangle. This action will open up the instance menu. The menu shows when the current instance was created and gives you the option to create a new instance. You can select this option to reroll the area. This provides you with a fresh layout and new enemies.
It is important to note that you cannot reset instances using the waypoint system. Instead, you must manually exit the area into the previous or next area and then interact with the transition point again. For example, if you want to reset the instance for the Tomb of The Consort (Act 1), you must exit to the Cemetery of the Eternals, interact with the stairs acting as the transition point, and use the instance menu to create a new instance.
After you exit, each instance in Path of Exile 2 will last for about 8 to 15 minutes. If you do not return before this timer expires, the instance is destroyed, and a new one is created when you re-enter the area. Your progress and dropped items in that instance will be lost.
