Trading is an integral part of any RPG experience, and the same holds true for Path of Exile 2. The game lets you trade almost all items seamlessly, including items ranging from currency to crafting/upgrade materials such as ores and pretty much everything you can list on the currency exchange market. The game features an elaborate trade setup but does very little to explain the procedure, and new players jumping in may find themselves feeling lost and confused. In this guide, we shall go over how to trade in Path of Exile 2 and the various etiquette you should keep in mind while doing so.

How To Trade in Path of Exile 2?

Trading with another player in Path of Exile 2 is a fairly simple affair. Follow the steps below to trade in Path of Exile 2.

Place Your Trade Offer

  • You can trade in Path of Exile 2 by simply walking up to the player with whom you wish to trade and selecting “Request to Trade.” This will open up the “Trade” menu.
  • On your screen, you will see two item menus. The one on the right is your inventory, and the left is the “Trade” area. The “Trade” menu is split into two separate grids. The grid on the upper half of the menu is for the other player, while the grid on the bottom half is for you.
  • The player you’re trading with can place their offer on the upper half of the trade menu. You can place your offer on the grid at the bottom half. You can select items from your inventory and place them in your grid, while the other player will do the same.

Accept the Trade

Once both parties are satisfied with the trade offer in place, they can click on “Accept” at the bottom of the “Trade” menu to proceed with the transaction. The game will then transfer the items from the other player’s grid to your inventory, while the items in your grid will be transferred to the other player’s inventory.

We recommend thoroughly reviewing the trade offer before clicking on “Accept” and commencing the trade.
