The Armored Undershirt is an ability that increases Kay Vess’s health, and you can unlock it early on in Star Wars Outlaws.
Armored Undershirt
In Star Wars Outlaws, the Armored Undershirt is an unlockable ability under Bram the Bartender’s Expert skill tree. Bram’s Expert skill tree is opened up automatically during Kay’s first mission on Canto Bight. This is a simple ability that improves Kay Vess’s Health by one bar. Health is very valuable resource, especially early on when Kay has less tools to get her out of rough situations and has to rely on her blaster.
Unlock Conditions for Armored Undershirt
Unlocking the Armored Undershirt requires no prerequisite abilities to unlock. It is a fairly easy and straightforward ability to unlock early. To unlock it you must fulfill the following conditions:
- Acquire 1 Ironweave materials
- In Game Hint: Look out for tailors in cities and settlements. Although this specific part will be impossible to find in Canto Bight.
- Acquire 8 Courseweave materials
- In Game Hint: Commonly found across the galaxy. Can be purchased from merchants and survivalists.
How to Unlock the Armored Undershirt in Star Wars Outlaws
To unlock the Armored Shirt in Star Wars Outlaws you must gather 8 Coursweave materials and 1 Ironweave material. This will take a little while but is not hard to do provided you are being thorough with your item gathering during your exploration of Canto Bith and Sliro’s mansion during the Outlaws quest and in the Pyke Syndicate’s compound in Mirogana during the Underworld quest.
The soonest you can acquire the Ironweave material in the city of Mirogana on Toshara after the Underworld quest. You can purchase it from the merchant Berek Keehro, a Pyke Syndicate-aligned tailor in the Mirogana Market. The Ironweave will cost you, at base price, 450 credits, which is fairly expensive in the early game. You can get a better deal if you are in Good Standing or higher with the Pyke Syndicate.
Courseweave is a common material to find throughout Kay’s adventures. It is commonly found throughout Sliro’s Mansion during the Outlaws quest and in the Pyke Syndicate territory first accessed in the Underworld quest. If you are thorough and loot everything, you will likely have enough or close to enough Courseweave to make the shirt. You can easily purchase the rest you need from the merchant Jonkah Rremset in the Mirogana Market for 65 credits. Don’t immediately purchase them though, as right after you speak to Jonkah the first time, he will get shaken down by two Imperial Stormtroopers. Should you speak up on his behalf using either your influence with Pyke Syndicate (requires Good Standing or higher) or paying them 50 credits, he will give you a significant discount on his stock. You can now buy them for 32 credits, a 50 percent discount!
After you have acquired all of the materials, the game will prompt you to unlock Armored Undershirt on the ability screen. Go to Bram’s ability tree, select Armored Undershirt and click the unlock button. Congratulations, you now have an additional Health bar.
