Wayfarer Difficulty Changes
The Dynasty Warriors Origin’s default difficulty is the Wayfarer. It’s the most player-friendly mode in the game without it being too hard or too easy. If you want to get the most balanced experience in the game, you don’t have to change the difficulty of the game.
Historian Difficulty Changes
Historian kicks the game’s challenge up a notch with more aggressive enemy AI. Attacks with glowing indicators can also be blocked in this difficulty. Additionally, Strong attacks and Battle Arts can now stagger targets. However, a bit of a silver lining in this difficulty is that some of the enemy attacks will not stagger you.
Hero Difficulty Changes
In Hero Difficulty, enemies are much more aggressive and can deal significant damage. Blocking enemy attacks can now deplete your Bravery bar, making it more challenging to balance evasion and fill up your bravery. Additionally, enemies will no longer be bringing their field rations, so they don’t drop meat buns in battle. On the bright side, you earn more gold and Skill Points.
Ultimate Warrior
The Ultimate Warrior Difficulty in Dynasty Warriors Origins is for the bravest ones out there who are looking for a real challenge. On top of the things that changed from previous difficulties, Parries and Perfect Evades must be very precise, or one has to face the consequence of deadly damage from enemies. The AI of enemies is much more relentless in their assaults in this mode. The rewards you gain are also decreased, forcing you to be more mindful of what you upgrade or purchase in shops.
You can set this difficulty once you hit a high level with decent weapons to compensate for it being unforgiving. However, no one is stopping you from doing this challenge on earlier levels.
How To Unlock Ultimate Warrior Difficulty in Dynasty Warriors Origins
After completing the campaign once, you will be able to unlock the Ultimate Warrior Difficulty in Dynasty Warriors Origins. This is the hardest difficulty you can play in the game. This is the version with the hardest parry and evade window in the game.
Aside from the Ultimate Warrior Difficulty, you also unlock the Story Mode. This game mode allows you to replay the story with all the weapons and upgrades you gained from your previous campaign. Think of it as the Story+ mode for other games.
